Seeing with the Eyes of the Spirit.

The Apostle Paul says: "Let me show you a more excellent way." "And now abide these three; faith, hope, Love and the greatest of these is this sacrificial Love."  Let me echo the spirit of Paul's writings, and attempt to put more light on the unseen holy substance of the Love of God.  For, The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.  (1st Corinthians 13 verse13 and Proverbs 9 verse 10.)

Sometimes, I know for sure, that we build up impediments in our own minds, so that as the saying goes, "we cannot -- see-- the trees, because of the forest".  Our view of the words 'memorial or remembrance' may be just such a stumbling block. The Communion Words of Jesus Christ, as written within scripture, could be relegated to have an insignificant meaning of just simple passing thought, or of monumental proportions, such as the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, Grant's Tomb, or Lincoln’s Memorial.  All of these structures, which we can see with our eyes, are memorials or tributes built to commemorate the lives of dead men.  So then, if you can see only with your natural senses, the forest; which is the wine and bread, then you may never see with the eyes of living faith the spiritual entrance to the monument of God's Love and Mercy, within the Communion Covenant Body and Blood of our risen Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.  Thinking that we have already arrived by knowledge of scripture, our pride prevents man from remembering the Bloody Body of Jesus Christ that was suspended from the tree's branches of the cross.  The Roman instrument of the cross did not take away our sins, but it was the Holy One of God that was nailed to that cruel instrument of death.  God's Sacrificial Gift of His only begotten Son, was given by God for the remission of our sins of our body of flesh, so as to bring a new restoration of the thoughts of our spirit and soul, and have them affixed on the Holy God that Loves us Sacrificially.  The flesh of man remains a problem, and so in God's New Blood Covenant, the Word of the Father says "Do this in remembrance of Me".  Without the partaking of the whole of the Communion Memorial, in living faith, we may remain as naturally self centered individuals, and never experience God's approving countenance, and His waiting expectancy for the unity of heart, within all of the earthly members of the One Body of Jesus Christ.

Our Living Faith in Jesus Christ with the Words of His Father that He has spoken, enables one to see more clearly through the forest of wooden trees.  The very Life of Christ is made manifest with our consuming of God's Sacrificial Offering of both the Flesh and the Blood of our risen Savior and Lord.

"This do in remembrance of Me".

To receive a better understanding of our Communion with God, please study in the box enclosure the transliteration of the English word “remembrance”, derived from the Greek word “anamnesis”.  We sinners are forgetful hearers of the necessary Words' of God's New Covenant in the Sanctifying Blood of His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ.  If we are left to the stubborn ignorance within our own spirit of a vacillating mind, we may loose our way and find ourselves on the outside, looking for our own entrance into the Kingdom of God.

The Greek word "anamnesis", being transliterated in English to "remembrance", has the implication of the Communion tradition being done often, so as to maintain within one's mind, the Lord's sacrifice for our sin and His faithfulness to His Covenant Word of Promise.  For as often as you eat this Bread, and drink this Cup, you do show the Lord's death till He comes again. (1st Corinthians 11 verse 26.)  Within every member of the Body of Christ, the condemnation of repented sin, is replaced with the knowledge of God's faithfulness to abundantly pardon (remission) of repented sin, and to cleanse the transgressions within the mind of flesh.  In remembering that Christ Jesus died for our sins, we are also to remember that in Faith, we died with Jesus Christ, having been buried with Him in our Baptism into His fountain of cleansing Water, and were raised with Him in His victory over our sin and death.  God's Freedom is freely given to those who abide in Christ Jesus, and enables the believers to rejoices in our faithful God Who Saves His people of faith!

Now, because we are taught and believe that we're saved by the grace of God, does that mean that sin has ceased in the flesh of believers?  Are you now perfected in the flesh, because you have heard a quasi interpretation of the Truth of the Gospel?  If you understand that the answers are NO, then you can understand that because of our forgetfulness in the mind's coverings of our own sin's of self preservation, that this stigma of sin remains within our sullied mind's of flesh. (See Romans 7 verse 22 thru 25.) The nature of sin within our fleshly minds only further amplifies the necessity for God's Sanctifying Grace within His Covenant Communion in the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, given by God's Spirit for the renewing strength for His Body of believers.

The Lord Jesus Christ did not give His Church a nonchalant symbolic metaphor, as many church leaders may think and erroneously teach; But Holy Communion is given to us as God's expressed Word within His New Blood Covenant for our remembrance of Jesus death and conquest over our sins that separate us from God. Our worshipful remember in God's Covenant Gift, is that our right standing and justification in our faith with God, is signed in the shed Blood of Jesus Christ, and ratified by His resurrection, in the power of the Word of Life instilled within the Incarnate Christ of God from His Father the Almighty.  Therefore does My Father Love Me, because I lay down My Life, that I might take it again.  No man takes it from Me, but I lay it down of Myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This Commandment have I received of My Father. (John 10 verse 17 thru 18.)

The Lord's New Covenant Words are linked together, hand in hand, out of God's Covenant Mandate to receive Communion frequently.  Knowing our frame of earthly flesh, God sees the necessity for frequent repetitions for sinners, who forget that their old independent nature of corrupted flesh is still with them.  But remember in God's keeping Covenant:  This is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins; This do in remembrance of Me.  When communing with His disciples at the Passover Seder, the Lord Jesus, on the one hand, inaugurates the New Covenant in His Blood with the Third cup of Salvation; and then on the other hand that same Communion cup is tied to His Church Body, rehearsing for the marriage supper of the Bride, who is cleansed by the Blood of God's Perfect Sacrificial Lamb.

As members in the Body of Christ, every time we participate within this Living Memorial of His Sacrifice given for the Life of men, we remember and are proclaiming the Lord's death for our selfish desires and actions, until He comes again for His redeemed Bride. (See 1st Corinthians 11 verse 26.) Through the unseen Holy Spirit of God, together, we are drinking of the unseen, but real New Covenant Life Blood of Jesus Christ.  Although we are individual members within the Body of Jesus Christ, together as one, we are making a public testimony that we are in one accord with Holy God's Sanctifying Blood Covenant given for the remission of sin, and have each recognized the death of our own self centered sins, through our drinking in faith of God's cleansing New Covenant Blood of His only Begotten Son Jesus Christ.  The Word of Almighty God is Glorified in His Son.

Now, as it is with so many Christian Communities of doctrinal error, if there is no understanding of Communion and of the Blood of the New Covenant, then sins and errors of the flesh will persist unabated.  Therefore, if the wine and bread are left as lifeless elements without faith expectations through the Spirit of God, then for a surety you will eat according to your callous faith, and your spiritual strength will be according to your flesh.  The error is compounded in the church leadership, because of their lack of reverence for the expressed Word of Jesus Christ, revealing God's Communion Blood Covenant that Christ inaugurated for the members of His Ecclesia.  (See Matthew 26 verse 26 thru 28 and Hebrews 10 verse 19 thru 23.)

Unfortunately, the same can be said for those who participate in Holy Communion weekly, just because they believe it to be a religious duty of the institution, but may not receive in faith, the Life and revelation Light of the Spirit of Jesus Christ within the core heart of their minds.  In the Roman Catholic Church, prior to 2003, and dating back to at least the 1200's, the affirming New Covenant Blood of Jesus Christ for the remission of confessed sins, was not given to the people of the pews.  During this time period of 800 hundred years, confusion with expediency brought in the doctrine of Transubstantiation, where the Roman Church with its controlling power, declared at the Council of Trent that the Communion of the bread, was now the combined flesh and blood of our Lord Jesus Christ, and that the Blood, transubstantiated in the wine, was not necessary for the communicants of the laity.  Concerning the Communion  cup, Vatican II, changed the Roman Church's dogmatic position that was infallibly established at the Council of Trent.  For now and since 2002, the Communion Cup maybe offered to all the communicants of the pews with the discretion of the local Bishops.

Paul writes: For as often as you eat this bread, and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till He comes.  If we are to remember the Lord's death until He comes again, then we need to understand that the crucified Body of Jesus Christ was dead because of our rebellious sins against the Almighty God; for the Son of Man Who knew not any sin whatsoever, was made to be sin for us.  Now then, even as the Body of Christ was made alive by the resurrection power of the Spirit of Yahweh God Almighty, so are the members of the earthly Body of our Lord, made alive by the poured out Power of Life of the Spirit of God that is in Christ's Life Sanctifying Blood.  It is the Holy Spirit's absolute union with the Life Blood of Jesus Christ, that per fuses the earthly Body of Christ, with the Life of the Spirit of God.  Jesus said: Verily, Verily, I say unto you; except you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you have no Life in you.  Whoso eats of My flesh, and drinks My Blood, has Eternal Life; and I will raise him up at the last day. (John 6 verse 53 thru 54.)  Do you still think that God's Holy Communion is an absurdity, or at best a symbolic metaphor?

Twice in the Lord's discourse in John 6, we read:  "Verily, Verily, I say unto you". Those first two words "Verily, Verily" are transliterated words from Hebrew to Greek to Latin, to English, etc., and that word is universally "Amen" meaning "so be it". We need to recognize with absolute certainty the Who that is saying "Amen, Amen, I say to you", for He is none other than the Great AMEN:  These things saith The AMEN, the faithful and True Witness, the beginning of the creation of God. (Revelations 3 verse 14.) The Words of Jesus Christ do not fail, although men trivialize the significance of His Word too justify their finite mind's understanding of the unknown Infinite.  The gainsayers of the flesh, do not create faith in the hearts of men, but color over the Word of God with their ignorance of the Infinite and the Holy.  Then in John 6 verse 32 and 35, Jesus said unto them, "Verily, Verily, [Amen, Amen.] I say unto you, Moses gave you not that bread (manna) from heaven; but My Father gives you the True Bread from heaven". "I AM the Bread of Life: he that comes to Me shall never hunger; and he that believes on Me shall never thirst".  John 6 verse 53. “Amen, Amen, I say unto you, Except you eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink His blood, you have no Life in you.

Amen, So be it.  The Words of Jesus Christ has the finality of His Father's Word, for they are ONE in Infinite Essence.  My Doctrine is not Mine, but His that sent Me. The Words that I speak unto you, I speak not of Myself; but the Father that dwells in Me, He does the works. (John 12 verse 49. See also John 14 verse 10.) Now then; does the Eternal Spirit of the Father and the Son dwell within you?

If the spiritless portion of any church community, does not believe in the unseen light and power potential of Holy Communion, then their unbelief does not negate the Holy Spirit in the work of God.  God's Holy Spirit of Grace IS One with Christ's remediating Blood, and IS the Discerner of true faith within the humble individual persons, who desire to be in agreement with their common offerings from the earthly realm, so as to receive from the heavenly realm, and To Be in Communion in Spirit and Truth with their Holy Father God through His Beloved Son Jesus Christ.  As members of Jesus' Body of believers, the faithful are Sanctified with the Blood of the Lord's Sacrifice of Love that covers the multitude of sins.

But we are bound to give thanks always to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God has from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the Truth: Whereunto He called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the Glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.  Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which you have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle. (See 2nd Thessalonians 2 verses 13 thru 17.)

Salvation and Sanctification is of the Spirit of God, wherein we stand fast in His Word of Truth and the traditional surrender of all things, even our earthly lives, to His unfailing Grace in His New Covenant in the Blood of Jesus Christ.  But what traditions have you been taught?  When you come together, does your church set before you what is Verily "To Be" God's only Covenant Provision for our trespass and peace offerings that are offered for His people, so that we would worship together, as One in Spirit and Truth?

The wisdom of the wise of this earth is confounded in the simplicity of a child like faith that believes in the unfailing Truth of the Word of Almighty God.  Paul tells God's flock to stand fast in the Truth of the Gospel to which they were called, and in so doing, too maintain the essential traditions they have been given through previous instructions.  If we hold fast in our hearts and minds the saving Truth of the Word of God in Christ Jesus, then we can see that Holy God has set forth in His New Covenant Word, His provisions for His fellowship with the saved, even as Paul upholds this traditional understanding within his teachings. The oral traditions established in the early church do not conflict with Paul's written epistles, nor do his epistles deviate from his oral teachings, or that of the other apostle's spoken word.  The Tradition of Holy Communion was established from Salvation's beginning, for the Word of God said: "Take and drink all of you", "For this is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for many for the remission of sins"

On the day of Pentecost, the Resurrected Word of God Almighty sent His Holy Spirit of Life, as a mighty rushing wind too descend upon the Apostles, who had gathered together in one accord, awaiting on the moment of His promised appearance.  Then the apostle Peter proclaimed the Gospel that day, and three thousand Jewish souls were baptized, and then continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine, and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread, and then with prayers. (See Acts 1 verse 4 thru 8, and Acts 2 verse 1 thru 4 and verse 41 thru 42.) Although the New Covenant Blood of Jesus Christ is not mentioned in the Book of Acts, but because it would be of the apostle's doctrine, those same baptized souls would have continued in the participation of God's New Covenant fellowship Blood of Jesus Christ, given for the remission of sin.

Now then, as we continue with our faith apologetics, and for the Love of our God, let us first remind all members in the one Body of Jesus Christ that He, being the Living WORD of GOD, inaugurated this continuing New Covenant memorial, even tradition, at His sanctifying Passover Supper of Unleavened Bread.  The Words of Jesus Christ are not vanity, so as to serve no eternal purpose, but are full of Truth and Holy Spirit Power, given with the Covenant assurance of God's good will, which came forth from the heart of the only Begotten Son of the Most High.  God has redeemed the believer from the condemning debt of sin, and in His Grace has set forth at His Table, the remembrance of His Redemptive Provisions in Christ Jesus that sets us apart from sin and death.

With our failures within this body of death, our appeal for mercy, begins at God's Gracious Table where we receive within the sacrificial Life Blood of Jesus Christ the Man, His Life through His Spirit of Life that has paid the price for our debt of sin.  Repentance, by the Grace of God, acknowledges to Holy God that in our selfish flesh there is a debt to be purged.  Therefore, it would be with certainty of heart and mind that this unqualified Covenant Word of Truth, was given to Jesus/Yeshua by His Father God, and was set forth by the Lord Jesus Christ, so as to keep His redeemed in the Covenant remembrance of His Love and passion for His believing Church, and to bring His Ecclesia into unity too worship His Father God, in the Spirit of that Truth.

This brings us to our physical observations of the common, humble elements of wine and unleavened bread, which we bring as the prescribed presentation offering unto the Lord.  On natural appearances there is no light or life in the elemental offerings that are to be presented to God, through our vocal act of consecration in thanksgiving faith.  Both the grapes and the seeds of grain have been crushed.  They are of the earth, "For the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness there of", (Psalm 24 verse 1.) and elemental in properties, even as our physical bodies are also of the earth, and will return to the base elements of creation. God takes the lesser offerings of men and through His Word, gives a far greater return on His Promise of mercy, forgiveness and the power of His Love that gives new Life to the dead, through His New Covenant provisions of His Holy Spirit.  In remembrance, we understand that the Lord’s physical earthly body was crushed by the weight or deadly force of our sin, and all of His sanctifying Life-Blood was poured out on the elements of this earth, and touches everything concerning this earth, and the heavens with their eventual combined sanctification for God's purpose and Glory.

The matzo bread offering of the Passover, is the unleavened bread of the impoverished or afflicted man. (See Deuteronomy 16 verse 3) The matzo bread being unleavened bread, is made only of flour, water and salt. But, what is this bread, when the Holy Spirit receives the poor man's unleavened bread of humility, with absolutely nothing added to it, except the grace of God's unfailing Word?  Is it not the True Substance of Faith in the Word of the Son of Man, Jesus Christ, Who as the Son of God is the Constant Word of the universe, by which power all things consist, and Who says: "This is My Body". Because of Who said these Words, our faith, should not argue over that which is unseen, but should be in continuing agreement with God's Blood Covenant, and the expectant change within the substance of our hearts and souls? There is no leaven of pride of our righteousness, knowledge or service that is added to this bread of humility.  Does not this unleavened bread become for that person of faith, without the prejudice of the flesh, the True Bread of Heaven,  Who comes down from on High, and Lights every impoverished heart of faith? For the bread of God is He, which comes down from heaven, and gives Life unto the world. (John 6 verse 33.) If the ordinary eyes of man cannot behold, and comprehend the full spectrum of the electromagnetic radiation of this created universe, then how can that man behold, and understand the full spectrum of the Light of Life, emanating from the Word of God that passes all understanding.

Again on the subject of faith, the Amplified Bible says:  "Faith is perceiving as real fact, what is not revealed to the senses". (Hebrews 11 verse 1.) By God's grace alone, the Eternal and His WORD has freely given His  precious Gift of Faith, to be received and cherished in the heart of the recipient, as God's abiding Spirit of Truth.  God's Grace can not be bought or sold, as if it were a cheep commodity that will perish with its use, or abused as if it were a license to sin.  But that Seed of Love, is to be nurtured in the human heart, so as to flourish in God's eternal purpose, bringing forth righteous fruit, that in its maturation within the individual, is also to be freely given away, as a result of God's Grace.  Although we may have that precious Truth in our hearts, it is nigh impossible to conceive within the human mind, of that Perfect Love of God Who hung on the Cross for sinners, or to comprehend the depths that that Love would go, so as to save mankind.

Our Faith is born of God's Love, and if that same faith has a substance, which is not perceived by natural senses, then most certainly God's Love has a substance beyond human measure or comprehension.  God is Love and that Love is also the WORD and Person of His Son, Who was nailed to the cross for the eternal affliction of our sin and death.  That Love, we speak about, is not a symbolic metaphor, and neither is the Communion Blood, which we partake of, in remembrance of God's sacrifice of His Son for the sins of the world.  Except with the eyes of faith, you cannot perceive the Light of Lights in the sanctified Bread and the Wine.  God alone sees the testimony of the Spirit of HIS WORD within the Flesh and Blood of His Son, as having been set in the receiving heart and soul of faith.  We reiterate, Holy Communion is not what finite man sees, and then eats only as bread and wine during the Lord's Supper, but what the Infinite God beholds as the Word declared Body and Covenant Blood of His WORD and Son Jesus Christ, being firmly affixed, within the heart and soul of obedient and believing faith.  Amen.

For the repentant believer, who lives in the simplicity of Godly faith, the Holy Spirit of God Almighty, Who is One with the Covenant Blood, dimensionally empowers the substance of the wine or the blood of the grape with the Presence of the Word of Life and Light, to become for us, the unseen Life Blood of Jesus Christ given for mercy, and the cleansing of sin, from within the substance of the conscience of humble earthen vessels.  Faith in God's living Word, changes the spirit of our minds and the core of our being; for as a man thinks, and then believes in his heart, so he becomes, and so he lives.

It is only through God's mercy, and the Provision of His very Own Love, being One within the Soul of His Beloved Son, Jesus Christ, that we may have forgiveness for our sinfulness.  According to the Scriptures, it is the Light and the Power of the Blood of God's New Covenant given within His WORD and Son, Jesus Christ, that we of the dust of the earth, may have our souls with the spirit of our minds cleansed from our sin and darkness, and then illuminated with the Light of Life. (See 1st John 1 verse 1 thru 10.) But, can you see that Light of Life, emanating from the Holy Spirit consecrated provisions?  If it is impossible to see the Holy Spirit of Life, so then, how can you see God's provision of Sanctifying Love contained there within the Blood of Christ?  The eyes of our Heart are opened by our living faith that believes in the Eternal Holy God, and knowing that He keeps Covenant with His Eternal Word.  If He keeps Covenant with His WORD of Salvation, Jesus Christ, then His WORD of Salvation expresses exactly what the substance of all things are in His Covenant of Spirit and Truth.  The Word Sanctified provisions in God's Covenant with mankind, are precisely as Jesus states that they are, for by the Spirit of His Word, they are His Flesh and Blood.

Before the foundation of the world, God's Word of purpose is for the Salvation of willing hearts, and Jesus Christ the WORD of the Almighty, cannot fail the faithful.  For the Lord God says; "My Word shall not return unto Me void, but shall accomplish that which I have purposed, and it shall prosper in the thing where to I sent it". (Fuller context see Isaiah 55 verse 6 thru 13.) All of this wonderful Grace within God's WORD, is given to the believer, so that we may become, and remain vessels of honor and light to the praise of God Almighty. We are to be those uncommon, elemental, clay vessels, whose spiritually illumined hearts contain the Life of the Lord, ready to be poured out in God's Love and mercy, given for the sake of lost humanity.

The only Lord God and Creator of all things, honors faith born of humility, and can do abundantly more than we can ever conceive, or ask with His humble Sanctified elements of His earth!  O man of the earth: O man of faith, are you not set apart for God's worship and service, reflecting the Light of His constant Spirit and Truth of His Word?
