Song of Moses

Let us look into Deuteronomy 28 the Song of Moses, where we witness Holy Yahweh God's separating judgment against the people that He had delivered from Egypt.

And among these nations thou shall find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: But the Lord shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind. (Deuteronomy 28 verse 65.) Consider again the text: Neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest.  There is no rest for the wicked: For the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. (See Isaiah 57 verse 19 thru 21.)

But the Lord of Salvation calls out to these who are seeking rest from their burden of sin:

Come unto Me all you that are heavy laden and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I AM meek and lowly of heart, then you shall find rest unto your souls. For My yoke is easy and My burden is light. (Matthew 11 verse 28 thru 30.)

The Lord of Salvation has already carried the burden of sin, for all sinners, and is only waiting for their admission of guilt to relieve them of their burden.  We have been made blind to Yahweh God's rest, for it begins at His Table of Grace in Christ Jesus  that we call the Last Supper.  If we come to the Table and are seeking to abide IN Christ Jesus, then all believers can find rest for their souls IN their Lord within the humility of our faith.  Humility will enable us to see and find Faith to be in agreement with the Sacrificial Provisions of Jesus Christ's Body and Blood that is His LIFE and is provided by His Spirit of Grace.

The 10 northern tribes of Israel, with their rebellious ways, had mingled their bloodlines with other peoples and were already dispersed among the heathen nations that they had become.  Shortly there after, God called Isaiah to prophecy of the vision he saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.  Similar to the seditious 10 northern tribes of Israel, Judah and Jerusalem also continued in their own un-repentant vanity that existed within their self centered minds.  The Prophet Isaiah calls the people to hear the Word of the Lord:

Hear, O heavens and give hear O earth, for Yahweh God has spoken. I have nourished and brought up children, and they have rebelled against ME. To what purpose is the multitude of your (vain) sacrifices unto Me? Says the Lord Yahweh, I AM full of the burnt offerings of rams, and the fat of fed beasts; and I delight not in the blood of bullocks, or of lambs, or of he goats. (See Isaiah 1 verse 1 thru 16.)

Yahweh God's true expectation was see His people in humility, where they would have put away sin before His Eyes, and then they would do well in relieving the oppressed and the fatherless, and take care of the widow.  Yahweh God was looking for true godly repentance from the people, and not what became the vain oblations of the children of Judah and Jerusalem. (See Isaiah 18 thru 20.)

With the coming advent of the Promised Messiah, the prophet Isaiah then at the last of his writings, had forewarned Judah and Jerusalem, of Yahweh God's rebuke to what they had become in their vanity: For their oblations were nothing but a token offering of the animal's blood to satisfy the God they did not know:

"He that kills an ox, is as if he slew a man. He that sacrifices a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck. He that offers an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood. He that burns incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yes, they have chosen their ways, and their souls delight in their abominations. (Isaiah 66 verse 3.)

Yahweh God's WAY was and is to give rest to His people of faith for in their contriteness, He would relieve them of their sins, but the people of Judah and Jerusalem chose their own way and in their unbelief they delighted to continue in their own wickedness.

For the wicked are like the troubled sea when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt.  There is no peace, for the wicked, says my Yahweh God.

We have witnessed, in the prophetic writings of Isaiah, that the animal sacrifices were berated by Yahweh God for their ineffectiveness to deal with the licentiousness of the covenant people of Yahweh God, both that of Judah and Israel.  As far as the Almighty Yahweh God of the heart was and is concerned, the animal sacrifices became a ritual of none affect upon His people of Covenant.  Humility was virtually missing within His chosen people, and so it is the heart of the many that are called today to be a witness of Yahweh God's Righteous Goodness.

When Messiah Yeshua/Christ Jesus is to come in the flesh of the first Adam/Man, and He establishes His Father's New Covenant in His Own LIFE Blood  that He gave for  the dead in sin, then shall the New Covenant in the LIFE giving Blood from the Man Christ Jesus, bring Glory to the Almighty Yahweh God?

Those that keep His Commandments dwell in Christ, and Christ in them. And this is how we know that Christ lives in us: For it is by the Spirit Which Christ has given to us.  However beloved of God, believe not every spirit, but prove the spirits whether they are of Yahweh God: Because many false prophets have gone out into this world, speaking lies.  Here is how you can know the Spirit of Yahweh God: For every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh of Man, is of Yahweh God's Spirit.

God's Covenant with mankind, has never been just in words that can be deceitful lies, but Yahweh God's Covenant with man is confirmed in the person's actions that prove the words to be true.  Have you not heard: Actions speak louder than words?
