Ruth.

To accommodate solitary web searches, this paragraph and the following paragraph is redundant in each of the chapters of the four biblical women mentioned in the genealogy of Jesus Christ.  In your search for Truth, it would be prudent to click on all of the highlighted links.

This treatise on Rahab is a continuation of thoughtful research, initiated in the beginning chapter The Biblical Women in the Genealogy of Jesus Christ. The Truth confirms that the Covenant WORD of God spoken by Elohim in the Garden of Eden is unchangeable and His WORD is fulfilled within the Last Adam, Jesus Christ, for He is the Only Begotten Son of God.  Consider the genetic lineage of these four women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and Bathsheba, and understand absolutely that they are each in the lineage of the pure genetics of the first Adam taken from Adam's side, as Ishshah/Woman, and not of the satanically mingled and corrupted genetics of the wife of Ham.

It is the glory of God to conceal a thing (matter): but the honor of kings is to search out a matter. (Proverbs 25 verse 2.)

But we speak the Wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden Wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:  Which none of the (satanic) princes of this world knew, for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory. But God has revealed His Wisdom unto us by His Spirit:  For God's Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of Yahweh God (See 1st Corinthians 2 verse 7 thru 11.) Forasmuch as you know that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, such as silver and gold, as received by your empty traditions from your fathers. But you were redeemed with the Precious Life giving Blood of Christ/Messiah, shed as a Lamb without blemish and spot, Who was foreordained even before the foundation of the world, and He is revealed in these last times for you.  (See 1st Peter1 verse 19 thru 21.)

The heavens declare the glory and the power of God: Again we continue to witness in the heavens that the faithfulness of the Word of Holy, Holy, Holy God is constant and unchangeable in the Almighty's purposed design of the universe.  And so we are to understand that God's Word is constant in scripture, and does not change to accommodate the changeable mind of finite flesh.  When we investigate scripture with discerning eyes, then we are going to find that Elohim's Covenant Promise in the Garden of Eden remains absolutely the Truth, for the Word of God is unbroken in the genetic lineage of the woman named Ruth, as also His Word of Promise is constant with Tamar, Rahab and Bathsheba.  (See John 10 verse 34 thru 36.)

From the beginning of God's Covenant proclamation in the Garden of Eden, the Infinite God would see through His creation of time that the Seed of Ishshah/WoMan would continually propagate Adam's genetic DNA until God's Last genetic Adam, Jesus Christ would be incarnately born the Son of Man/Adam.  As the last Man of God's original creation of Adam, then Yeshua/Jesus the Man would crush Satan's rule of evil and death.  In case you missed the above link, then to bring clarity to our understanding, in the Garden of Eden, the original given name of Adam's wife was Ishshah meaning Woman.  It was after their insurrection to God their Creator, and their dismissal from the Garden of Eden, that then Adam changed his wife's name to that of Eve.  God would keep His Word within the genetic lineage of Adam/Man, male and female, until His Word was conceived in the genetic seed of the Hebrew woman Mary as the last Son of Man Jesus Christ.  The Word of Elohim remains Constant Truth despite Satan's early hybrid contamination in the genetics of man kind. (See Genesis 6 verse 1 thru 6.)

The only Infinite, Holy Lord God Almighty, the Progenitor of all that exist, is Eternally One with His Word, by Whom He created all things, and therefore God's Eternal Covenant begins first with His Word, and the Almighty God does not fail His Word. (See 1st Corinthians 8 verse 6.) God's Covenant Word was given by God for the Salvation of human kind, and His Word made of the Flesh of Adam, can not be of the corrupted genetics of the children of Ham's wife.  God Almighty would protect His Covenant Word, even through Israel's disobedient generations, until He would intervene in His time, and the true genetic seed (ovum) of the virgin woman Mary, would be conceived with the Word of God through the Holy Spirit of Father God, and be born the Son of Man and the last Adam.  The first Adam, created in the image and likeness of God, failed in his love and likeness of God, but the last genetic Adam,  Jesus Christ, was begotten in the Likeness of His Father God, and in the image of the Son of Man/Adam.  The last Adam, was the first Man to possess a perfect Love and Obedience to His Father God, and Jesus/Yeshua would indeed crush the head of the beguiling serpent of evil.

Although Ruth, in the book that bears her name, was called a Moabitess, this nomenclature did not mean that she would have been a daughter of the condemned lineage of Moab's Canaanite children.  God was steadfast in His Word when He said: "An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the Lord; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the Lord for ever:" (Deuteronomy 23 verse 3.) Furthermore God Almighty commands an added prohibition of the Ammonites or Moabites: Thou shall not seek their peace nor their prosperity for ever. (Deuteronomy 23 verse 6.)

The reader should logically conclude that if Jesus the Holy One of God was of the genetics of these condemned people, then Jesus would be a hybridized man, born of corrupt genetic seed and could not be Holy God's Promised Word of our Salvation.  Sin and death would continue to reign and we would not have peace with Holy, Holy, Holy Yahweh the Lord God Almighty: For that matter, if Yahweh God was powerless to keep His Word and allows for His Word to be genetically corrupted in sin, then He would not be the Infinitely Holy Lord God Almighty.  Witness that Jesus the Word of God says: The prince of this world comes, but has nothing in Me. (See John 14 verse 30.) The Amplified Bible put it this way.  I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (of evil, the ruler) of the world is coming.  And he has no claim on Me (he has nothing in common with Me, there is nothing in Me that belongs to him, he has no power over me.)  Not even the genetics of Jesus can be questioned to be of Satan's corrupted seed.  So it is in the genetics within all of the women that are in the lineage of God's Christ.

The genetics of the Moabites and the Ammonites, being the offspring of Lot's children, were hybrid carriers of the cursed Canaanite angelic DNA. Whether the person is Ammonite or Moabite, male or female, God did not change His mind about the absolute prohibition of the people of these two nations from being genetically included in the congregation of the Lord.  Both sexes of these nations, can be carriers of the mutant genetic pattern of Canaan, through the XX chromosomes of the female.   The Jew's Oral Law with the interpretation that Deuteronomy 23 verse 3 applies only to Moabite men, is absolutely wrong.  If the genetics of Ruth's father was of Canaanite origin, then his corrupted blood line would remain in his daughter Ruth, for she would have received one of her female X chromosomes from the father, and the other X female chromosome from a Moabite woman.  If this were the case, then Ruth, as a genetic Moabite, would continue the Canaanite corruption in her genetics, and Ruth could not be in the lineage of God's Covenant Promise of the Seed of WoMan/Ishshah destroying the power of the evil one.   The genetic seed of Woman, having been taken from the side of Adam, would be of the pure genetics of the first Adam/Man.  God's Holy Word stands for ever as the Truth, and is incorruptible.

As an example of the hybrid corruption, look at the female child marked XX.  The DNA from both parents is affected, and all of her future offspring, both male and female, would be carriers of the mutant Canaanite genetics.  The mutation would have continued in Ham's children because of his carrier wife.  It would appear that the family tree of Ham's wife would have been corrupted sometime before the flood, and was the result of the original hybridization by the wicked angelic sons of God, known in Hebrew, as B'nai haElohim.  The female carrier child will also present the same genetic problem as a married adult, when she produces children, even from a non carrier male.  (See A Huge Genetic Question Mark, and also Tower of Babel )

Because of God's condemnation of the Moabites, Ruth definitely could not have been a descendent from that nation, born of Moab's mutant Canaanite blood.

The scriptural inference of Ruth, being a Moabitess, would only indicate that she was born and lived in the country with the name of Moab, as it was called at the time of the Judges, and continued even until the time of the Christian Crusades.  Boaz, in His admiration of the virtue of Ruth, says to her; and how thou has left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which you knew not previously.  Boaz is acknowledging that Ruth was born in the land of Moab and not her nationality.  Therefore, judge for yourselves:  Half of the individual states in the United States of America, have names that were evolved from the cultures of the Indian nations that originally occupied the land.  One of the many examples would be the state of Alabama: The name is derived from the Alibamu, a tribe of Indians, who were members of the Creek Confederacy. The name "Alabama" may have come from words in the Choctaw language, "Alba ayamute" meaning "I clear the thicket."  The people that live in Alabama today are called Alabamians, but obviously, they are not of the original nation of the Alibamu tribe of Indians.  We take note that in the United States of America, all the citizens are called Americans regardless of their original family nationality.

Again Ruth was called a woman of Moab, or Moabitess, only because she was a woman born and residing in the land that was at that time only known as Moab.  It was not possible for Ruth to be a generational daughter of Moab with Canaanite genetics, making her outside of God's Covenant order of all things, especially in God's Covenant with the Messiah.  Man is confused, but the Almighty and all knowing God is not the god of confusion.  God would protect His Covenant Word given in the Garden of Eden, by protecting the genetic flesh of Adam within the seed of Ishshah that would come to be within the ovum of Mary, the last woman of Adam's genetic kind.  That ovum seed of Mary, through the Word and Spirit of His Father, would become the Son of Man, and as the last Man would crush the power of Satan.

Even so, Satan yet continues to perpetuate the lie in the Garden:  Did God really say that you should not eat of every tree, including the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil?  You shall not surely die!  Now that leaves us sinners, in the confusion of our fleshly minds, questioning the Truth of the Word of God, and the Holy Oath He has sworn upon Himself.  Now the subtlety of Satan continues in today's liberal pulpit commentaries, and so the pulpit speaks, saying the bible is full of stories like Genesis, made up by men, and in it, God has changed his mind many times.  So then the father of lies continues to speak from the pulpit: Did God really say that the Seed of the WoMan of Adam would really destroy the seat of power over hell, death and the grave?  If you have little understanding of genetics,  or if you missed this chapter "Human DNA, the first Adam, and the Last Adam", then you would do well to click on the gold highlighted link.

Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled, that there was a famine in the land.  And a certain man of Bethlehem-Judah, went to sojourn in the country of Moab, he, and his wife, and his two sons.  And the name of the man was Elimelech, and the name of his wife Naomi, and the name of his two sons Mahlon and Chilion,  Ephrathites of Bethlehem Judah.  And they came into the country of Moab, and continued there. (Ruth 1 verse 1 thru 2.) At the time of this narrative of Ruth, the various judges of Israel sought to maintain peace in the land, for, Israel had already entered the land three hundred years earlier, and settled in the promised land.  The East side of the Jordan river had been conquered by Israel at the very first.  Moses, with all of Israel, had come into the promised land, east of the Jordan, and defeated the armies of Sihon, king of the Amorites, who had previously defeated the king of Moab, (See Numbers 21 verse 26 thru 30.)  and now Israel possessed Moab's land, south unto the river Arnon. (See Deuteronomy 2 verse 32 thru 34.). After the defeat of Sihon, scripture says: “And they turned and went up by way of Bashan: and Og, the king of Bashan, went out against them, he and all his people, to the battle at Edrai. And Yahweh said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people and his land; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon, king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left alive: and they possessed his land.” (Numbers 21 verse 33 thru 35.)

The nation of Moab before Israel conquered the land.

The land of Moab after Israel conquered the nations that possessed the territory.

You can observe in the top map that the nation of Moab, originally occupied a large section of land east of the dead sea, and extended along the Jordan River, up close to the Sea of Galilee.  With Israel defeating and annihilating Sihon and his people, and that of Og and his people, scripture strongly implies, that there were no Moabites or Canaanites left in the land now occupied by Israel.  So then, you can see on the bottom map that this part of the former country of the Moab nation is where Israel's tribes of Reuben and Gad, with half of the tribe of Manasseh, would have initially settled in peace with their families. (See Deuteronomy 3 verse 12 thru 16.) The remnant of the nation of Moab occupied the land south of the river Arnon.

The book of Judges in the first chapter reveals that nine of the twelve tribes of Israel that had an inheritance in the land over the Jordan, did not completely drive out or destroy all of the Canaanites that occupied the land. There are three tribes that are not mentioned in the chapter.  The Levites who had no inheritance in the land, what so ever, and the Tribes of Ruben and Gad, whose land of Moab was already free of the Canaanites and Moabites. (See Judges 1 verse 19 thru 36.) Then an angel of the Lord came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I swore unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break My Covenant with you.  And you shall make no league with the inhabitants of this land.  You shall throw down their altars, but you have not obeyed My Voice.  Why have you done this?   Wherefore I also said, I will not drive them out from before you; but they shall be as thorns in your sides, and their gods shall be a snare unto you.  And it came to pass, when the angel of the Lord spoke these words unto all the children of Israel, that the people lifted up their voice, and wept.  And they called the name of that place Bochim, and they sacrificed there unto the Lord.  And when Joshua had let the people go, the children of Israel went every man unto his inheritance to possess the land.  (Judges 2 verse 1 thru 6.)

The generation of Israel that came with and followed after Joshua and the elders into the land of God's promise, served the Lord.  After Joshua and that generation passed on, then the generations that came after them were not familiar with the Canaan wars, and neither were they familiar with the Lord God Almighty, Who delivered Israel from the enemies of God's Covenant.  How forgetful we are.  The new generation did not have a heart and mindset to serve the God of Israel, but did right in their own eyes, and accommodated the people that surrounded them and served their gods.  When Israel left off serving the Word of the Lord, then calamity to the whole nation would spring forth, trying the flesh, until the heart of the nation would cry out to their Lord God to save them.  When there was repentance in the heart of the people, then God, through the judges, would give periods of peace in the land.

Although the story of Ruth is thought of as a wonderful story of love and fidelity, nevertheless the author leaves his readers in an embarrassment of ignorance and speculation.  The author does not see fit to elaborate further on the circumstances, and the specific time of the judges.   Also, seeing that it was authored in the time of David, there may have been ulterior motives in the description of Ruth with the great grandmother of David, being left with the description as a Moabitess in David's ancestry. Obviously this association of Ruth with the descendants of Moab would link King David in the ancestry of Moab.   After viewing the following scripture link, (See 1st Samuel 22 verse 3 thru 4.) the reader should see the protectionism that is built into the book of Ruth, by its human author. David, initially  protects his mother and father in the house of the king of  Moab, but later David, as king of Israel, would deal severely with the Moabite people.  (See 2nd Samuel 8 verse 2.) The false innuendo of Ruth being known as a Moabitess of Canaanite blood, muddies the waters in the mind of man, and brings confusion with their interpretation of God's Covenant.

In view of the above, there are several clues in the text of the Book of Ruth, that when sewed together, clarify the genealogy of Ruth.  The first and the last clue in the story of Ruth, is the most powerful for they confirm her genetic lineage, and when melded together they will be most insightful. The rest of the clues will then correspond to the first and foremost in the list.

  1. And Naomi said unto Ruth: The man (Boaz) is near of kin unto us, one of our next kinsmen. (See Ruth 2 verse 20.) Naomi, a daughter of Judah does not say that the man (Boaz) is near kin to me, but is near kin to us.  With the marriage to her son, Naomi from the first would have known of the genealogy of her daughter in law, Ruth.

Then all the people who were
at the gate and the elders said: “We are witnesses.  May the Lord make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel.  (Ruth 4 verse 11 thru 13.) The House of Israel is built up specifically from these two women, Rachel and Leah, who each bore in their wombs the pure genetic offspring of their husband Jacob.  In the genetic ovum seed of these two Shemitic women, God will protect, and bring to fulfillment His Covenant of redemption through the Adamic genetic seed of Abraham.  And God remembered Rachel, and God hearkened to her, and opened her womb. (See Genesis 29 verse 31, and 30 verse 22.)  Even as God opened Sarah's womb to produce the promised seed of Isaac, so God opened Rachel's womb to produce two sons by Jacob, named Joseph and Benjamin.

  2. Joseph, with his goodness, would have been our favorite to progenerate God's Covenant seed of Ishshah/Woman, but was disqualified by God.  (See David's Psalm 78 verse 67 thru 68.) Joseph's two sons of Ephraim and Manasseh were both born of Joseph's Egyptian wife, and her genetics' would be of Mizraim, the son of Ham and his wife, and would be outside of God's Covenant, and pollute His Infinite Word of Truth and Righteousness. An impossibility with Holy Lord God Almighty! That would leave only Rachel's son Benjamin, and his genetic lineage would have remained pure in God's Covenant that would produce the Seed of Ishshah the wife of Adam, where all in the faith of God's Word would be blessed.  And of course Leah had six son's and a daughter Diana.  Leah's fourth son, Judah, was selected by God to be the progenitor of the continuing seed of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, and with the offspring of Judah's brother Benjamin, there would come forth the promised Messiah of God's Covenant Word given in the Garden of Eden.  I will put enmity between thee and Woman/Ishshah and between thy seed and her/Ishshah seed.  He shall bruise thy head and thou shall bruise His heel. (Genesis 3 verse 15.)
Viewing the scriptures with a discerning heart, Ruth, can only be of the true genetics of the family of Benjamin, and she will will marry into the family of Judah, by way of Boaz, who is of Bethlehem Ephratah.  But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall He come forth unto Me that is to be Ruler in Israel; Whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. (See Micah 5 verse 2)

  3. The first passage of the Book of Ruth confirms that God's judgment was upon unfaithful Israel:  Now it came to pass in the days when the judges ruled that there was a famine in the land.  However, the passage is not specific of the time, as to when God's appointed judges would have come on the scene, and would establish God's order to the forefront of the people's minds.  We see in the first passages of the book of Ruth, that Elimelech, an Ephrathite of Bethlehem-Judah, the husband of Naomi, took his family into the Country of Moab, where the Judges would have been called to rule. (See again Ruth 1 verse 1 thru 2.) Elimelech would not knowingly have taken his family into unprotected country, but one that he thought was secured by the Judges of Israel when they ruled.  Apparently, the safety that was reputed of the land would cease.  And Elimelech, Naomis' husband died, and she was left with her two sons.  And they took them wives of the women of Moab:  The name of the one was Orpah, and the name of the other was Ruth: and they dwelled there in Moab about ten years. We might surmise that in the marriage of her two sons, Naomi, of the house of Judah, would have known before hand that the true lineage of her daughters in law would be that of Israel's son of the house of Benjamin.  And Mahlon and Chilion died also both of them; and the woman Naomi lost her two sons and her husband. (Ruth 1 verse 3 thru 5.) In this case the word 'died muwth', in Hebrew, could imply a premature death as in "killed".

  4. Ezra writes that Benjamin had five sons, but only the lineage of Bela the first born son of Benjamin is continued in Ezra's first book of Chronicles. (See 1st Chronicles 8 verse 1 thru 8.) For this reason, we will make mention of Bela's genealogy that leads to one of the past judges, Ehud, the Benjamite, who had a mighty reputation in the defeat of Moab. (See Judges 3 verse 12 thru 30.) One of Ehud's offspring was Shaharaim, who apparently had traveled to the land of Moab during the same period as Elimelech and his family.  Shaharaim then had children in the country of Moab by his two wives Hushim and Baara, then afterwards the two wives were dismissed, or understood better as being divorced. (See 1st Chronicles 8 verse 8.) Shaharaim sired children by Hushim who gave birth to two sons, Abitub and Elpaal.   However if Shaharaim's wife, Baara, bore a female child, then the genealogy typically would not be listed, and Baara, not being in favor, would never be heard of again, nor her female child who would be of the lineage of the house of Benjamin.  It is remarkable that generally women are not often mentioned in the Bible, but these 2 divorced wives of Shaharaim are both named in scripture. If the mothers, of Naomi's daughters in law, were both divorced from their husband and they were left in the country of Moab, then this may be the reason that Naomi says to her daughter in laws: Go, return each to her mother's house.  We present the above as a strong possibility to the unknown genealogy of Ruth, and her unchangeable link to the promised Messianic seed of WoMan/Ishshah, and He being born the Last Adam, Jesus the Christ of God.

  5. The nation of Israel was chastised by God when they turned from Him to serve the gods of the nations round about them.  And the children of Israel did evil again in the sight of the Lord, and served Baalim, and Ashtaroth, and the gods of Syria, and the gods of Zidon, and the gods of Moab, and the gods of the children of Ammon, and the gods of the Philistines, and forsook the Lord, and served not Him.  And the anger of the Lord was hot against Israel, and He sold them into the hands of the Philistines, and into the hands of the children of Ammon.  And that year they vexed and oppressed the children of Israel eighteen years, all the children of Israel that were on the other side of Jordan in the land of the Amorites, which is in Gilead.  Moreover the children of Ammon passed over Jordan to fight also against Judah, and against Benjamin, and against the house of Ephraim; so that Israel was sore distressed.

    a.  Ruth, when growing up as a child in the house of her mother, would have followed her mother's leading, and if her mother served the gods of her surrounding enemies, then the child Ruth would have been indoctrinated to do likewise.  For eighteen years the Ammonites oppressed the inhabitants of Gilead and the land of Moab, and subjected the inhabitants to their god Chemosh.

  6. During this period of God's chastening, the Ammonites from the East are the nation that is attacking Israel through the land of Moab and Gilead. (See Judges 10 verse 6 thru 16.)  Japheth will be called to judge the nation at this time. So Jephthah passed over unto the children of Ammon to fight against them; and the Lord delivered them into his hands. And he smote them from Aroer, even till thou come to Minnith, even twenty cities, and unto the plain of the vineyards, with a very great slaughter. Thus the children of Ammon were subdued before the children of Israel.  (Judges 11 verse 32 thru 33.)
As you can see from the maps below that the land that Japheth subdued is in the land of Moab, where the tribe of Ruben and Gad would have dwelled.  So from Aroer in the south to Minnith in the northeast, and all of the land and cities in between, the Ammonites were slaughtered and driven from the land of Moab that God gave to Israel.    The Maps below are provided through Bible Hub.

See Aroer red pinpointed on the map.

See Minnith red pinpointed on the map.

  7. At this time, God's judgment of Israel is over and the famine in Judah is lifted.  Naomi arose with her daughters-in-law, that she might return from the country of Moab, for she had heard how the Lord had visited His people in giving them bread. And so Naomi with Ruth and Orpha started on the road that would take them to the land of Judah. (See Ruth 1 verse 6 thru 7.)

  8. Naomi says to her daughters in law, Ruth and Orpha: Go:  Return each of you to your mother's house. The Lord deal kindly with you as you have dealt with the dead, and with me. The return of each of the daughter-in-laws to their father's house is not mentioned by Naomi.  Two things to consider:  Perhaps the mothers of Orpha and Ruth are also widows, for they may have lost their husbands in the conflicts in the Country of Moab, or perhaps their mothers have each been divorced by their husbands, and have been forced to remain in the land where they were abandoned.  Therefore, Naomi says,  Go:  Return each of you to your mother's house, rather than return to your father's house.

    a.  If it were possible for Naomi to marry again and produce children in her old age, and if it were possible for Ruth and Orpha to wait, even so Naomi would have had no problem in giving her sons to her two daughters, so that the improbable sons could raise up children unto the name of her two deceased sons.  For a devout woman of Israel, such as the widow Naomi, this would never be possible, if her daughters were daughters of Moab.

    b. Naomi says to her daughters: The Lord grant you that you find rest, each of you in the house of her husband.  Naomi's expectation is that her daughter in laws, in staying in the land, would marry again within their family belonging to Israel, and be reestablished in their future husband's home, by giving birth to children.  With what has been presented at this time, there should be no doubt that Naomi knew of the full circumstances, of both of her daughters in law's genetic lineage to that of Israel, and certainly that of Ruth, being born of the house of Benjamin.

  9. And Naomi said, Behold, thy sister in law is gone back unto her people, and unto her gods [elohiym].  The interpreters translate the Hebrew word for Elohim into an unnatural plurality, with an implied meaning of other "gods".  But, the fact is, that Israel has repented of their sins, and God has judged Israel for their worship of other gods, and again Almighty God is favoring Israel with safety.  So then Ruth, the Bethlemite, is not speaking of returning to other gods of their families, but to one of two possibilities.  The first possibility is that her word Elohim, means the God of Israel   or the second would be that the word elohiym could also mean authorities or leaders, as would now be the case with the judges of Israel.

    a.  And Ruth said, Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou go, I will go; and where thou lodges, I will lodge:  Thy people shall be my people, and thy God, my God.  Where thou die, will I die, and there will I be buried: The Lord [Jehovah] do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me. (See Ruth 1 verse 16 thru 17.)

    b. Both Ruth and Orpha, in marrying a son of the house of the widow Naomi, both came to know the Lord God of Israel through the influence of her mother in law. The God of Naomi is already the God of Ruth as she declares:  Your God (Elohim) is my God (Elohim).  May Jehovah do to me if I break my oath to you and Him.   Ruth had already come to know by the hearing of faith that Jehovah was God, and confirmed it by her oath to the LORD and to Naomi.

    c.  And Boaz (Bethlehem) says to Ruth:  The Lord recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the Lord God of Israel. The Lord God of Israel under Whose wings thou art come to trust.  (Ruth 2 verse 12.) Hence, Bethlehem's words in scripture would read in clarity: The Jehovah Elohim of Israel, under Whose wings thou art come to trust.

Then all the people who were at the gate and the elders said, “We are witnesses.  May the Lord make the woman, who is coming into your house, like Rachel and Leah, who together built up the house of Israel.  May you act worthily in Ephrathah and be renowned in Bethlehem, and may your house be like the house of Perez, whom Tamar bore to Judah, because of the offspring that the Lord will give you by this young woman.”  So Boaz took Ruth, and she became his wife, and he went in to her. And the Lord enabled her to conceive, and she gave birth to a son [of the essential Shemitic stock]. (Ruth 4 verse 11 thru 13.)  The author of Ruth finalizes the Truth, as he writes that the people and the elders are witnesses to Ruth's lineage, for she is like Rachel, and Leah, who together built up the house of Jacob, who is called Israel.

Now these are the generations of Perez: Perez fathered Hezron, Hezron fathered Ram, Ram fathered Amminadab, Amminadab fathered Nahshon, Nahshon fathered Salmon, Salmon fathered Boaz, Boaz (Bethlehem) fathered Obed [by-Ruth], Obed fathered Jesse, and Jesse fathered David. (Ruth 4 verse 18 thru 22.)

Moreover the Word of the Lord came to Jeremiah, saying:  Consider thou not what this people have spoken, saying, The two families which the Lord has chosen, He has even cast them off? Thus they have despised My people, that they should be no more a nation before them.

Thus says the Lord:  If My Covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob and David My servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; for [indeed] I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them. (Jeremiah 33 verse 23 thru 26.)

Consider the proof of the two families and who they are in God's Covenant Word that cannot fail.
