The finite words of this finite man, will never suffice for Infinity's Word of TRUTH IN Christ Jesus, the Creator.  True; but here now, let us reason together with what the only Infinite YHVH God has given to us In His Son.

Paul, in his first letter to the Corinthians, chapter 10, alludes to some obviously extreme sanctions concerning man's fellowship with God. The following scripture is in a condensed form of the whole thought: Now, these things were our example to the intent, we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted. Some were idolaters and fornicators and 23000 of them were destroyed; some tempted Christ and were destroyed of serpents; some were murmurers and were destroyed by the destroyer. Wherefore, let them that think they stand, take heed lest they fall. ^{(See 1st Corinthians 10 verse 1 thru 12.)} For our sake and that of His Word of Salvation, the Creator and Owner of all things, is said to be jealous of the gods that are not gods of His creation.

But apart from those grievous admonitions, let me ask the reader:  While the Hebrews were on their 40 year desert journey, how often did the Israelites eat and drink from the needful provisions of God?  Of course, it was every day of those 40 years that the Lord provided nourishment for the physical well being of the People. But what about the spiritual well being for those sinners of the flesh? The Holy Lord God Almighty set forth His required blood covenant with a morning and evening sacrifice of a lamb, so that day by day there were continual offerings for the sins of the people of Israel.  Each offering of a lamb was covered over with grains of flour, along with with a mixture of oil and that of a like portion of wine for a drink offering.  Says the Lord of the sacrifice by fire: This shall be a continual burnt offering through out your generations at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation before the Lord. There I will meet with you and speak to you. ^{(Exodus 29 verse 38 thru 42.)}

The Hebrews were forgetful of their self serving sins: Are we not all of the same physical makeup that first serves ourselves in our idolatry of self? So then, during our spiritual journey in this physical life, how often do you think that the baptized in the Lord's death, should eat and drink of Yahweh God's Holy Provisions at His Holy Table of Covenant Grace?  If we have committed sins and trespasses after we have been saved, and indeed we have sinned, then we are dead to the Body of Christ and in need of God's LIFE giving infusion of the LIFE giving BLOOD of our Savior Jesus Christ.  No one comes to the Father but by Me!  If you say that you are without sin, then you make God a liar and the TRUTH is not in you. God's Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin, and with the Comforter's conviction then sin brings shame within the conscience of mankind, but the Scripture says: Whosoever believes IN Him, shall not be put to shame, (because of their sin). ^{(Romans 10 verse 11.)} Sin always brings confusion to the mind of man, until the Holy Spirit of God brings conviction into the core of the person He loves.  The readers would do well if they understood that the shame of sin is persistent until it is dealt with IN the LIFE Blood of Christ. The Will of Yahweh God is that we would be free from the guilt of sin, by our submission to Jesus Christ.  The Spirit of God brought conviction to the heart of David and we can read in the fullness of Psalm 25 where the sinner David calls upon God's Mercy.  In the New Covenant, Communion Faith is the WAY and the LIFE that is IN Christ Jesus, and IN the TRUTH of our High Priest, The Creator provides an entrance into the Presence of His Holy Father Yahweh God Almighty.  The Almighty God is Merciful to all who call upon Him, and IN His Mercy we might experience the Grace of the Living Word of Father Yahweh God Almighty. 

If we are going to gather together as a family within Holy Father God's Holy House, then we had better be prepared in our mind's spirit to receive the Almighty's Provisions of LIFE IN the narrow Gate WAY to LIFE IN Christ Jesus.  However, in the unbelieving church, we are just having a religious meeting of divided hearts within a community building made of the sands of the earth. Beginning faith IN the Presence of the Lord of our Salvation is expanded into the TRUTH of the Word of God.

Note immediately in the above Scripture quotation, that there is not 'a way', as in a multiple of ways of escaping sin's judgments.  Holy Lord God Almighty does not provide a nondescript way of the many ways of escape from sin's condemnation.  No! From before the foundation of the world the Eternal God of this universe established only the One WAY of escape from sin and death, and that is IN His only Begotten Son, Yeshua/Jesus the Lamb of God slain before the world was created. The article 'a' in the scripture is completely absent in the Greek Text.  The English translators wrongly inserted the English article 'a' that produces in the mind of man a multiplicity of erroneous ways of escape by God, whereby the words' in the scripture would be falsely understood to mean God will provide one of many 'a way' of escape from sin's corruption.  If there is an article that would be inserted for clarity of understanding then the article 'the' would be appropriate.  The TRUTH of the Living Word of Christ Jesus. will make  the WAY absolutely clear, for He declares the imperative:  I AM The WAY, The TRUTH, and The LIFE of man: No one comes to the Father but by Me.  "God will make 'The' Way of escape that you may be able to bear it."  Sinful, man changes the meaning the Word of God, to accommodate their idolatrous nature, while the WORD of Holy, Holy, Holy Yahweh, Lord God Almighty does not change IN one jot or title of His Word of TRUTH. As long as the professed believer is living on earth, then the Spirit of Yahweh God will continue to allow for the accuser of the brethren to test the Godly resolve of the believer.

Not desiring for the Corinthian Church to remain ignorant, Paul, in admonishing the church, gives them warnings of the innate rewards of their sin that destroyed many of the Israelites in the desert.  The dolatrous willfulness of many of the Israelites caused them to be destroyed by serpents and by the destroyer who claimed the unbelieving: Then Paul continues to show the Corinthian church that the only WAY of escaping sin's consequences is through God's Communion Covenant of LIFE through Christ Jesus.  Jesus the Word of God, established Holy God Almighty's New Relational Covenant WAY for the believers of fallen mankind: "I speak as to wise men: Judge you what I say. The Cup of Blessing, which we bless, is this not our Communion in the Blood of Jesus Christ?  The Bread which we break, is it not the Communion of the Body of Christ?" ^{(1st Corinthians 10 verse  15 thru 16.)} The answer in faith should be a resounding "Oh Yes", "Amen", but unfortunately the answer for many is muddled in the sensual questioning mind of man that may say yeah, with a qualified but,---"Jesus didn't really mean exactly what He said".  The TRUTH of the Word of God has spoken, but the fool ignores Yahweh's Person of TRUTH.

So then, with the conceited wisdom of the day's vain leaders in Christianity, they bless the cup with a token blessing, but only as an innocuous symbol of no consequence.  All who dismiss the new Covenant Communion Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, are heretics, for in their ignorance, of the TRUTH they are intent on finding there own way out of sin's entanglements.  Where then is your faith when 'the' only WAY of escape is IN Christ Jesus the TRUTH? 

Ah, but there are consequences for the teachers of the pews that foster unbelief in the Word of God.  Like the Apostle Paul, I know for a certainty of the following unqualified absolute TRUTH of the WAY of LIFE IN the Eternal WORD of God, for Jesus Christ declares in His Father's authority:

"Drink you all of it; For this is My Blood of the New Covenant which is shed for many for the remission of sins." ^{(Matthew 26 verse 27 thru 28)}. 

The Spirit of the Word of God makes straight the Way of Paul's foundational Premise, for Christ Jesus is the WAY and the only WAY to Yahweh, His Holy Father God Almighty.  If we have pondered the full context of 1st Corinthians 10 correctly, then we will begin to see some of the examples of Israel's idolatry and why Holy Yahweh God, the Creator of the Universe was displeased and allowed for the destruction of many of the Israelites in the wilderness.  Now, these things were our example to the intent, we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.

Now then, where are the wise men of whom Paul speaks to concerning their judgment of the Lord's Table of Grace? 

If you say you have no sin then you are deceived and the TRUTH is not in you. ^{(1st John 1 verse 8.)} Wherefore let him that thinks he stands take heed lest he fall. There has no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is Faithful, Who will not suffer you to be tempted above that you are able; but will with the temptation also make the WAY to escape, that you may be able to bear it. ^{(1st Corinthians 10 verse  12 thru 13.)}

If you have become deadened to your sin's of the flesh, then perhaps you are not wise enough to take the only WAY of escape that the Almighty Yahweh God freely Provides IN the Communion LIFE Giving Blood of His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ?

Truly, Truly, I Say unto you: unless you eat of the flesh of the Son of Man, and drink His Blood, you have no LIFE IN you. ^{(John 6 verse 53.)}

It would not be wise to parse over the Word of God, with the finite minds of flesh.
