The
Fifth Seal.
(See
Revelation 6:9-11.)
9 And when He (the Lamb) had opened
the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the
Word of [Yahweh] God, and for the testimony which they held: 10 And they cried
with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord
[Yahweh God], Holy and True, dost Thou not judge
and avenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth? 11 And white
robes were given unto every one of them; and it was said unto them that they
should rest yet for a little
season (time), until their fellow servants and their
brethren, should
also be
killed as they were, that it should be
fulfilled. (Revelation 6:9-11)
Sin, with its inherent violence, has brought the fear of death to enslave humanity
in its sin. This
unseen murderous force of sin that breeds death, has been in the hands of sin's taskmaster named
Satan and
Death.
However, those souls that John saw beneath the sacrificial
altar, were dead to sin,
and because of their Faith in Holy Yahweh God's Spirit of TRUTH. they
were to be patient while resting IN the Body
of Christ Jesus. Each soul beneath
the altar, having been slain because of their word that testified of the Promise
of
Yahweh God, were written in the Lamb's book of LIFE even
before the foundation of the world. The
great number of those souls would have been of the believing Hebrew saints,
waiting for
Yahweh God's Promised Messiah:
Where by, He [Yeshua/Jesus] also went and preached to the spirits (souls) in prison, and when He
Yeshua/Jesus ascended up on high,
He led captivity captive, and [also] gave gifts unto men. (See
Ephesians 4:4-8, and 11) Some were apostles, some were
prophets, some were evangelist, and others were pastors and teaches.
These souls that John saw under the altar, were all under Yahweh
God's Covenant of Faith, whether they were Jew or Gentile believers in the Word
of Yahweh God. Each soul was justified by
their Word of Faith in the Saving Word of
Yahweh God in Whom they trusted
with their lives. Collectively, they
were alive in
Yahweh God's
sanctuary of rest in the Body of Christ, because they faithfully lived under YHVH's Covenant
of Faith that set them apart in
Yahweh God's Salvation Grace
IN Christ Jesus. All of the saints, before and after Christ Jesus,
would continue in
Yahweh God's rest until the entry of the last,
of
Yahweh God's new born children of Faith
IN Jesus Christ and His LIFE Giving Blood,
that would allow them to enter into
Yahweh God's Eternal Kingdom of the Living.
And white robes were given unto every one of them and they
were told to rest for a little season until their fellow servants and brethren
that would be killed would be fulfilled. (Revelation
6 verse 11.)
Here is the patience of the saints. Here are they that keep
the commandments of God , and the faith of Jesus Christ. And I heard a voice
from heaven saying unto me, write: Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord
hence forth. Yes says the Spirit of Yahweh, that they may rest from their labors,
and their works will follow them. (Revelation
14:12-13.)
