Christ,
God's Passover is the Unleavened Bread of Heaven.
Love/Agapao covers the multitude of sins.
The wise of heart, will hear the whole of the matter, before coming to a
final conclusion. (See
Proverbs 18 verse 13.)

Jesus Christ, The Crucified Unleavened Bread of our Passover.
To fulfill His Word, the True Bread of Heaven, the Christ of God,
the Son of Man must be in the grave 3 days and 3 nights, and not the
2 and a half days that are determined from good Friday. For
Jesus/Yeshua to arise
in Triumph on the morning of the first day of the week, then He
would have been crucified to death on the 5th day (Thursday) of the
week. The Truth
of God trumps the trite human tradition of a Friday crucifixion, death
and burial of Christ Jesus. Pg 14

John's Gospel has no conflict with the Synoptic Gospels.
The First and the Last Adam
The
first Adam the Man, being made or created to be a son of Yahweh God, committed high treason against his Maker, and brought
the seed of death to all of his
generational seed of mankind. Through Satan's deceit, rebellious sin was conceived in the mind and heart of Adam,
and now the love of God was displaced with Adam's own self
satisfaction being set first. Adam's conceived rebellion of self
first also
caused all of his prodigy to be born
into the same confused nature of self determination over what the
individual chooses to believe what is good or
evil, for self's own gratification.
However the
Second or the Last Adam, is the Word of Yahweh God,
and that True Seed of the Almighty was
conceived in the ovum of the Hebrew virgin Mary, whose genetic lineage was
empirically of the pure
genetic lineage of the first Man/Adam. (See
Isaiah 7 verse 14.) The TRUTH of
Yahweh God is that the WORD of GOD was made
of the genetic
flesh of the first Adam, and was
purely of the genetics of Man/Adam. In the genetic order of the first Man, Jesus would also have had the
free
will of a Man, nevertheless,
the incarnate Jesus/Yeshua Loved and trusted His Holy Father
God Almighty
perfectly, even unto submitting
His Own Will in total obedience to His Father's
Will that brought Jesus to a sacrificial death on the cross
for the Salvation of corrupted humanity. (See
Isaiah 53 verse 10 thru 12.)
The first Adam, in his rebellion
against His Maker, made all of mankind
to be enemies of Almighty God. The last Adam/Man, Jesus the Christ of God, Who was
sinless, gave Himself as a sin
and peace offering to
Yahweh God, for the sake of all of sinful humanity. The only
Yahweh God of the Living, gave
proof of His absolute satisfaction with Christ's perfect atoning sacrifice of
His Agapao/Love, by bodily resurrecting the Son of Adam, the Christ of God,
in glorious victory over Adam's sin and our rebellious sin with its affixed death sentence.
Yahweh God has accepted the sinless sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the Man, the
Last Adam, as a piece offering to
Yahweh God;
for God the Father offered His only begotten Son as His own offering of mercy to
make the WAY of Peace to those who would accept His Peace Offering
(Chagigah) that is in the Person of Christ Jesus. Jesus,
the Incarnate Son of the first Man/Adam, was before all time, the
undefiled Word of His Father God, Who created all things to be very good. Now as
the Word of Yahweh God made the flesh of Adam, Jesus/Yeshua has with His perfect obedience of Love for His
Father God, brought forth a New
Creation of Life with His resurrection by Yahweh God's Spirit, and as such,
Jesus/Yeshua is the First
Fruit of the new order of Man. The Holy Spirit of the Living
Yahweh God
has seeded His Word of Salvation, within
the soul of those who would have repentance towards Yahweh God, and would
live by faith within the New Covenant Grace of their Savior, Jesus Christ, the Prince of Peace. (See
Acts 20 verse 21.)
Ground Work with Weed Pulling.
Yahweh God is not the author of confusion, but the Author of Peace, as [Peace
within His Word should be reigning] in all the churches/ecclesia of the saved.
(1st
Corinthians 14 verse 33.)
Who then is the author of confusion and the
breeder of lies? If you know of this entity, then what other handles is this
author of confusion known
by? If any person is a party
to, or a conveyor of confusion, even unknowingly, then
that person's mind would be in collusion with the source of confusion. If we are not
having True Communion with Jesus the Prince of Peace and with each other in
participating in the True Bread of LIFE, then every form of confusion is
reigning, both in the pulpit, and with the people of the pews.
Confusion with its gross errors, brings
divisions of unbelief in the Truth of the Word of Yahweh God. However the incarnate
Christ of Yahweh God, as the Son of Man, is One Essence of Heart with His Father, the God
of the Living, and prays to this end:
And the
Glory (The Spirit of LIFE) which Thou has given to Me, I have given them that they may be one. even as
We are One. I in them and Thou in Me. (See
John 17 verse 22 thru 23.)
Hear again Paul's
exhortation that speaks of this One Essence of Life:
Now I beseech you, brethren, by the Name of our Lord Jesus
Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among
you; but that you be
perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. (1st
Corinthians 1 verse 10.)
However, with the seeding of confusion in the flesh of the mind of man, the enemy has deceptive pathways
with stumbling blocks that disrupt the mind of
even the so called saved.
Now, to this one point of the controversies with the gross confusion inherited by all
men through the sin and death of the first Man, Adam. There have
been in yester years, and today, pious individuals, Christian Jew and Christian
Gentile alike, who
have correctly thought and taught that in God's Sovereignty, the sinless
Sacrifice of the Lord, Jesus/Yeshua would have annulled the eating of the slain Passover lamb
that showed its temporary blood
covenant. The TRUTH stands forever, for Yahweh God said He would institute
a New Covenant . (See
Jeremiah 31 verse 31 thru 33.)
However, in conjunction with the timing of Yahweh God's Torah appointed Feast of Unleavened
Bread, and to justify their
human logic,
these bright individuals, Christian Jew and Gentile alike, have reasoned in their minds that the Lord Jesus/Yeshua, would have been crucified on the
14th day of Abib/Nisan, at the same time when the Passover lambs were being slaughtered.
So then, from their logical point of view, they reasoned that for the Lord
Jesus Christ to be able to commemorate His last supper on earth, He would have had to celebrate the
Feast
of Unleavened Bread at the sunset close of the beginning of the 14th of Abib/Nisan,
which would have been 24 hours earlier than the
Lord Yahweh God's command to celebrate the
Feast of eating the Passover with the Jew's permanent Feast of Unleavened Bread. With such
reasoning compliance, there are many church leaders that erroneously believe and teach that Christ would have
instituted His Supper of His Father's Grace, on a different assigned day, which
would have been with the eating of the forbidden leavened bread,
thereby breaking the Law of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which was Commanded by the Word of YHVH God for the
children of Israel. This cannot be the case, for it would make
Jesus/Yeshua a sinner, and not the sinless Lamb of God, slain before the
creation of the world.
We can appreciate the zeal of the authors of error, but the whole assumed concept is a gross
misrepresentation of scriptures that creates holes in the continuity of the
writings of the Gospel accounts that cannot be fulfilled with the distorted zeal of the
interpreters. You cannot rip away the fabric of any one of the Gospel
accounts, to piecemeal together snippets of selected script, and then with twisted
commentary justify a
position of gross error. In our minds of flesh, we are all leavened little
gods, and will justify our errors with more puffed up errors, and the cycle of confusion
in mankind continues unabated.
For beginning clarity, the First Month of the Lord Yahweh's lunar calendar year was
called Abib, and then many years later, and after the Babylonian
captivity, the first month became known as the Babylonian month of Nisan. Also, a day of
the Lord Yahweh God Almighty begins at evening when the sun goes down (approximately 6:00
PM) and that day would end
at the following evening sun set (approximately 6:00 PM) with the beginning of another day.
(See
Genesis 1 verse 3 thru 5.)
At this point within our defense of the WORD of GOD, it is important that the
instructions for the Torah's prerequisite Feast of Unleavened Bread with the
eating of the passover lamb, would be known in its completeness,
with the understanding that Yahweh God's
New Covenant WORD would be totally fulfilled in Jesus Christ/Yeshua haMashiach
obedience to Yahweh's WORD as His WORD. Yahweh God does
not change His Covenant WORD of Justification and Sanctification of man-kind,
just to accommodate the self centered minds of persons that give birth to ill-conceived assumptions!
The
King James Version, along with some other English bible translations, have each
of the lambs, known as the passover, killed "in the evening",
as they transliterate the Hebrew language with:
And you shall keep it (the lamb) until the fourteenth day of the same month;
and the whole congregation shall kill the lamb ?in the evening?.
(Exodus
12 verse 5.)
There is ambiguity in this translation leading to
confusions in timeliness; where
as the translated word "in"
according to Strong's Concordance, is the Hebrew Word "beyn" meaning
"between" the evenings.
The following text is taken from the Jubilee Bible, because it tends too a more
correct understanding of the killing of the lambs allowing time for the
Passover to be eaten with the Feast
of Unleavened Bread that would soon follow at sun down during the evening change to the 15th
day of Abib.
The lamb shall be without blemish, a male of one year; ye shall
take it out from the sheep or from the goats; and ye shall keep it up until the
fourteenth day of the same month, and the whole assembly of the congregation of
Israel shall kill it 'between the two evenings'. (Exodus
12 verse 5 thru 6.)
Leviticus chapter 23 verse 5 in the Septuagint,
transliterated into English, would also confirm that the two evening are between
the hours of the
evening of the 14th and the evening of the 15th of Abib, for:
In the
first month, on the fourteenth day of the month,
between the evening times is
the Lord’s Passover (or the lamb of the Lord). (See also
Numbers 28 verse 16.)
The male lambs, that are chosen to be the Passover would naturally have been slaughtered in the day light
hours between the rising of the sun until 3PM of the 14th day of the first month of Abib/Nisan. The timing was appropriate for the
slaying of the Passover so that slain lamb would be eaten with the Feast of Unleavened Bread
(Feast of Matzo).
This Feast of Unleavened would occur during the beginning evening hours of the 15th day of
Abib/Nisan.
Then Moses
called for all the elders of Israel and said to them: Draw out and take of you a
lamb and "kill the Passover". Thou shall eat no leavened bread
with it; [the it, is the sacrificed lamb that is also called
the Passover.] (See
Exodus 12 verse 21 thru 22.).
Thou shall therefore sacrifice the Passover (lamb) unto the
Lord thy God,
[out] of the flock and the herd, in the place which the
Lord shall
choose to place His Name there. (Deuteronomy
16 verse 2 thru 3.)
From rightly dividing scripture, we can deduct from Moses'
command that the lamb when it is slain for the Feast of Matzo is now called the Passover,
whose sacrificial blood and flesh is tied to the whole event of the Lord's
angel of death passing over the marked homes of the Israelites. The Passover is the lamb that was slain, and not the event when
the lamb was slain. Witness again in the following scriptures:
And it shall
come to pass when you come into the land which the Lord will give you according
as He has promised, that you keep this service. Then when your children
shall say unto you: What mean you by this service? You shall say:
It is the sacrifice of the Lord's Passover, Who passed over the houses of the
children of Israel in Egypt; (See
Exodus 12 verse 25 thru 28.)
The Scriptures in
Numbers 33 verse 2 thru 3 would also legitimize
our thoughts on the timing of the Feast of Unleavened Bread when we understand that the Passover is interpreted to
be the slaughtered lamb rather than the day itself:
And Moses wrote their goings out
according to their journeys by the Commandment of the Lord -- And they departed
from Rameses in the first month, on the fifteenth day of the first month
(Nisan), on the
morrow after the [slaughter] of the Passover
[lamb], the children
of Israel went out with a high hand in the sight of all the Egyptians.
You shall also
observe
the Feast of Unleavened Bread, for on this "very day" I brought your hosts out of the land of Egypt;
therefore you shall observe this day throughout your generations as
a permanent ordinance. (Exodus
12 verse 17.)
The observance of the eating of Unleavened Bread is set in the very day that the Lord delivered Israel from
the house of Egyptian bondage. That very day of deliverance is the Feast
of Unleavened Bread, and in
the Lord's Calendar is the 15th of Abib/Nisan, and not the 14th when the lambs
were slain. The sacrificial slaying of the animal lambs was never designated by
God to be a permanent ordinance. However, the Feast of Unleavened Bread
(Matzo) was so designated to be a permanent Feast.
Witness Yahweh God's Command for all of Israel:
In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month
at evening, you
shall eat unleavened bread (matzo), until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.
(Exodus
12 verse 17 thru 18.)
Seven Days shall you eat unleavened bread: even the first day you shall put
away leaven out of your houses.
The evening of the first day of the 14th of Abib,
is when
the yeast was forbidden and removed from each house hold. Then on the same day
of the 14th, a portion of unleavened dough, was baked or pan fried sufficient
for the households need for that day of fasting, and more specifically for the
coming evening Feast of Unleavened Bread that God had commanded Israel
to eat on the full moon of the 15th day of the first month of Abib/ Nisan. The
rest of the unleavened dough was to be sufficient for the six following days until the
evening of the
21st day of Abib/Nisan. Again this is from the 15th day until the 21st day,
which is Seven Days.
So then, God's Passover was a lamb that was eaten with Unleavened Bread that begins at the sunset close of Abib the 14th, which
immediately became Abib the 15th, being the evening of the first day of Yahweh God's
required celebratory Feast of Unleavened Bread. The first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
Nisan the 15th,
would always be a High Sabbath to the Lord. The Feast of Unleavened Bread
would begin with a full moon and would end seven days later at the
High Sabbath evening of the 21st of Abib.
The
scripture text would indicate that the Lord Yahweh God brought the nation of Israel out of Egypt in the
day light hours of the High Sabbath Feast day, before the evening of the 16th day of Abib.
Again the 15th of Nisan, is the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and it is tied to
Yahweh God's Passover/Lamb of His New Covenant in the LIFE Blood of Messiah Yeshua. God Almighty declares that the Feast of Unleavened Bread is to
be observed as a permanent ordinance, and the act of slaying the animal Passover
lamb, was never permanent. God's New Permanent Covenant was to come in time, for
Yahweh God's
Covenant in the
Blood of Jesus Christ had already
been conceived in time even before the foundation of the World, and was prophetically declared
by Jeremiah. (See
Jeremiah 31 verse 31 thru 36.) The
15th of the first month/Abib is Yahweh God's High Sabbath Passover day, and not on the 14th
when both the multitude of lambs were being slain, and the unleavened bread was
being
prepared for the evening High Sabbath Feast of the 15th of Abib/Nisan. At
His Passover Table of Unleavened Bread, Jesus/Yeshua the Messiah, initiates a
New Covenant within His sacrificed Body and sealed in His Life Blood. (See
Hebrew 10 verse 19 thru 20.)
The Removal of Chometz (Yeast)
Jesus/Yeshua,
is the
incarnate Messiah of Holy, Holy, Holy Yahweh God Almighty, and is not yeasted bread with puffed up holes in the essence of His Being.
The
Messiah is the One Living True
Bread of Heaven, and at His Father's will, the
Word came down from on High, to humbly be
born of the
seed of a Hebrew virgin woman, and
became the Son of Adam/Man. Jesus, the Son of Adam was full of
Yahweh
God's
Spirit of Grace and TRUTH, for in His incarnate conception, He was in the likeness of His Father
Yahweh God, and
yet as the last genetic Man/Adam, Jesus had a body in the genetic form or image of
the first Man/Adam.
The first Adam, in his rebellion, obviously revealed his lack of love for Elohim which brought forth
to Man/Adam the corruption of sin into death; while the second Adam, Jesus Christ,
Yahweh God's Passover Lamb, Loved His
Father God Perfectly and was obedient even unto death. Yahweh God was
well pleased with the Perfection of the Love of the
incarnate Son of Man, and brought forth in Christ's
resurrection from the dead, Life to those of human kind who would believe
IN the TRUTH, the WAY and the
LIFE of men that is Yahweh God's only Begotten Son, Christ Jesus.
The Passover lamb with the Feast of Unleavened Bread, would in the future become a Feast of great celebration for Israel,
for it commemorated Abib/Nisan the 15th, to be the day when Israel was delivered by the Hand of
Yahweh God from Egypt's slavery. The preparation,
for that day of Yahweh God's Passover, had its beginning early in
the darkness of the evening of Abib/Nisan
the 14th, and required that all of the yeast (leaven, Chometz) would be
physically removed from the dwellings of the Israelites. Then after the
removal of the leaven, and the baking of the bread without the yeast, there were the many lambs that were to be
slain through out the mid-afternoon of Abib/Nisan the 14th. One lamb for each household
was required.
Then the blood of each innocent lamb was applied with a branch of hyssop on the lintel and
the two door post of
the entrances of
all of Israel's
dwellings: Then when seeing the blood of the lamb, the angel of death would pass over the occupants. However, in the climax of
Yahweh God's 10th judgment
against the idolatrous sins of Egypt, if the sign of the lamb's blood was not on
the entrance of any home, then the first born male of that house was slain by the angel of
death during the darkness of Abib/Nisan the 15th.
In the finality of Yahweh God's
judgment's against Egypt's slavery to idolatry, the first born male
of Egypt, being the strength of the
house of Ham, was slain during the evening of
the day of
Yahweh God's Passover that occurred on Abib/Nisan the 15th. It was Yahweh
God's final plague against the slavery of
Egypt that secured the release of Israel. Israel's departure from slavery
took place
in the latter part of that same day and before the evening of the next day of Nisan
the 16th.
Consider that the
evening of the 15th, when the sun went down, would have extended
beyond 12:00 Midnight:
For it came to pass that at midnight the Lord smote all the first-born in the
land of Egypt, from the first-born of Pharaoh; etc. (See
Exodus 12 verse 29.)
Beginning at midnight, of the 15th of Abib/Nisan, the angel of the Lord
would have passed over the houses of Israel that were sealed in the blood of the
passover lamb, as the angel proceeded to bring sin's destruction of death to the first
born males within the houses of Egypt. Perhaps, with the exception of Pharaoh's first born
son, the total discovery of all of the slaying of the first born of Egypt, probably did not take place until the morning sun had begun
to shine.
Now in Yahweh God's final judgment for all of the world's
slavery to sin, the First Born of Yahweh God's creation, His only begotten Son,
Yeshua/Jesus, conceived as the
Son of Man/Adam,
was slain on the cross, in the
afternoon darkness of the 15th of Abib/Nisan,
and
secured the greater deliverance and
release of all of the slaves of sin
and death, who would follow in the Faith of the Lord our Righteousness.
The first logical thought, is
that the Jewish Man of Hebrew Blood, Jesus the Messiah and the very WORD of
Yahweh God, Who knew not the leaven/yeast
of sin, would not have broken Yahweh God's law of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
As Yahweh God's Passover, Jesus, the True Unleavened Bread
of Heaven would not have breached Yahweh God's Covenant WORD with the Jews.
Neither would the Lord Jesus Christ cause His own Jewish disciples to break
Yahweh God's Commands in the Torah, concerning Yahweh's established Feast with Unleavened Bread. (See
Exodus 12 verse 14 thru 20.)
Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I
AM not come to destroy, but to fulfill. (Matthew
5 verse 17.) To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into
the world, that I should bear witness unto the TRUTH.
Holy, Holy, Holy Yahweh Lord
God Almighty does not ever break Covenant with His WORD
of TRUTH,
for Yahweh God's beginning Covenant WORD is immutable, and the One Holy Yahweh
God Almighty is One with His Holy WORD,
for He was the True Unleavened Bread of
Heaven that His Holy Father Yahweh God would send to be conceived within the genetic flesh of Adam. That
which Elohim proclaimed in the Garden of Eden, He brought to pass exactly as He
said He would: (See
Genesis 3 verse 15.) Christ Jesus, the
incarnate Son of Man, was born of the genetic seed of the
virgin woman, Mary, of the preceding Hebraic generations of the first
Adam.
Simple logic would deduct that it would make no sense that the
Christ of Yahweh God, as the Son of Man, knowing that He is facing the brutality of the
cross for the sins of mankind, would now fail in the least of the Law and break Covenant with
Yahweh God's Torah
that reveals the Holy One of Yahweh God as the True Passover.
Not one jot or title will pass from the law
until all is fulfilled.
When coming to the finish line, how could the Holy WORD of GOD, fail to finish
His Perfect Work of Agapao/Love and trusting obedience that His Father had sent Him to
fulfill?
Every one that is of the Truth hears My Voice. I AM the Way,
and the Truth, and the Life of men. No one comes to the Father but by Me.
According to the
Mishna, leaven
(Chometz) was permitted on the day of Abib (Nisan) the 14th thru the early hours of
the morning until 10:00 or 11:00 A.M. Apparently, the multitude of lambs were slaughtered later in the day after all of the
leaven had been removed from the households of Israel. Now if the Christ of
Yahweh God would have been crucified on
(Abib) Nisan the 14th, at the
third hour of the preparation day, 9:00 A.M.
our time. then Yahweh God would have set an illegal precedence in allowing for the
violation of His own Torah command of Exodus 23 verse 18:
Thou shall not
offer the blood of My Sacrifice with leavened bread: Neither shall the fat
[choice part] of MY SACRIFICE remain until the morning.
The evening and the
morning constituted a day. And again we see in another chapter the same Word of YHVH God given in Exodus 34 verse 25:
Thou shall not offer the Blood of MY SACRIFICE with leaven.
The false assumptions of the human mind discredits the TRUTH of the WORD of
Yahweh God. Jesus Christ is
the TRUTH, and the Master of His disciples: Therefore, it is impossible
that the Lord would have desecrated the Divine proclamation, by leading His
disciples into gross violation of Yahweh God's established Word by celebrating
Yahweh God's Feast of Unleavened Bread a day earlier than what YHVH
had Commanded. The day of the
Feast of Passover with Unleavened Bread was set by the WORD of Yahweh God as an
ordinance, occurring at the latter moments of the day of
Nisan the 14th becoming the evening of the beginning of the 15th day of Abib/Nisan.
"Three times thou
shall keep a feast unto Me in the year. Thou shall keep the Feast of
Unleavened Bread seven days, as I Commanded thee, in the time appointed of the
month Abib: for in it you came out from Egypt: And none shall appear before Me
empty." (Exodus
23 verse 14 thru 15.)
The Gospel of Luke confirms the absolute significance of the Feast of Unleavened
Bread, and how Yahweh God's Passover is tied to the first day of the seven day Feast, and not how the
seven day feast is tied to the prior one day of the slaughter of the lambs.
Now the
Feast of Unleavened Bread drew nigh, which is called the Passover.
(Luke
22 verse 1.) Then came the day of the Unleavened Bread, when the
Passover must be killed.
Yes, the Passover lamb would be killed, but
the unleavened bread must also be prepared and baked without the yeast that was
forbidden within that day and the following 7 days.
And Jesus sent Peter and John, saying: Go and prepare for us the Passover
(lamb)
that we may eat. (See
Luke 22 verse 7 thru 8.)
The
Gospel of Matthew concurs:
Now the first day of Unleavened Bread the
disciples came to Jesus, saying to Him: Where will you have us to prepare for
you to eat the Passover (lamb). (See
Matthew 26 verse 17 thru 19.)
Your glorying is not good. Know you not that a little leaven leavens
the whole lump of dough. (See
1st Corinthians 5 verse 6 thru 7.)
You
can not take the least little bit of yeast out of the dough once it is there.
The flesh of our being is leavened with sin's corruption. Except for the incarnate Son of Man, sin, like yeast, resides in the corrupted flesh of all of mankind,
but the Body of Christ Jesus did not see corruption, for the Man was innocent of
sin, and He overcame mankind's
sin with the perfection of His Love for His Father, and God's Sacrificial Lamb was Holy Resurrected, as the Son of Adam/Man,
through the
Holy Spirit of the Eternal Life of His Father
God Almighty. Humanity's flesh is totally corrupted with the renegade 'Law of
Sin
and Death, and has no redeeming qualities what so ever. For human kind to
live, the soul must be born brand new from the Spirit of God that raised up
Jesus the Christ of God. The soul can be born again by Faith IN Christ
Jesus, but unfortunately their remains the unruly mind
of the flesh of human kind that needs sanctification through God's Spirit of Grace
and Life that resides
IN Jesus Christ, the risen Son of Man/Adam.
Purge out therefore the old leaven, that you may be a
new lump [of dough], as you are [to be] unleavened. For even Christ our Passover
is sacrificed for us: (See
1st Corinthians 5 verse 6 thru 7.)
Absolutely, the
leaven of sin can not be the driving force in our lives, for even Christ Jesus
is our Unleavened Passover Bread that is sacrificed for us. The heart's repentance from sin
is the prerequisite before we partake of God's Gift of His Spirit of Righteousness in Christ Jesus. (See
1st Corinthians 11 verse 27 thru 30.)
So then, Jesus Christ, the True Bread of Heaven, as the Son of Man, did
not violate one jot or tittle of the Torah nor the Words of the prophets!
Jesus the Messiah, is the
True Bread, the Unleavened Bread of Heaven, Who came down to be born of the flesh of Man/Adam,
and as the only begotten Son of God, He would fulfill the
Will of His Father Yahweh God. Yes, Jesus Christ is the innocent Lamb
of Yahweh God's Passover that is led to the slaughter, but in the Perfection of
His Love and Obedience, Jesus/Yeshua is our necessary daily Unleavened Bread of
LIFE
The Preparation of the Passover for the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Now let us move our setting on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. When speaking to His disciples,
the Lord Yeshua had just finished given warnings of the signs and severe
distresses that would come upon the world before His return. (Matthew
24) But now the hour of Christ's Passover Sacrifice is fast approaching,
and the Lord Jesus/Yeshuah prepares His disciples by declaring three things in
one sentence:
1You know that after two days
is the Feast (eating) of the Passover (lamb),
and [then] the Son of Man is
2betrayed to be 3crucified.
(Matthew
26 verse 2.)
It should be apparent that the conjunction 'and',
being a transliteration of the Greek conjunction 'kai', makes this a conjoined sentence
that presents sequentially in time more than one event.
1The time of the required Feast of Unleavened Bread is known
by all of Christ's disciples. Then it would be after the evening meal of the Feast of
Unleavened Bread that the Lord Jesus would be
2betrayed and taken away to be 3crucified.
The Christ of God must fulfill the heart of the Torah and not break one jot or
tittle of the Law.
Then came the day of
Unleavened Bread, when the
Passover [lamb] must
be killed. Then Jesus sent Peter and John, saying Go and prepare us the
Passover meal, that we may eat. (See
Luke 22 verse 7 thru 16.)
Part of the preparation for the Feast of Unleavened Bread was to
see that all of the natural leaven was removed from the house before the noon day of Nisan the 14th.
Thou shall not offer the Blood of My Sacrifice with leaven/yeast; neither shall the
sacrifice of the Feast of the Passover be left unto the morning.
(Exodus 34 verse 25.)
There was to be no leaven present what so ever that would adulterate the blood of
Yahweh God's sacrificed Passover lamb. The yeast, representing sin, was to be found and removed in
repentance to Yahweh God. And so in the Lord's Passover Table of our fellowship, neither was
there to be any leaven/yeast in the Communion Bread of Life to adulterate Christ's Blood of
His Father's New Covenant
that was
poured out for the many repentant sinners who have believed on His WORD of Grace.
Now on the first day of Unleavened Bread [speaking of Nisan the 14th and the removal of
all leaven from the abode] the disciples came to Jesus and asked, “Where do You
want us to prepare for You to 'eat' the Passover? And He said, “Go into the
city to
a certain man, and say to him, ‘The Teacher says, “My
time is near; I AM to keep the Passover at your house with My disciples. The
disciples did as Jesus had directed them; and they prepared the Passover. (Matthew
26 verse 17 thru 19.)
We remind you again, the Passover is
the slain lamb that is to be eaten, and not a feast day. The Feast that is
spoken of, is that of Unleavened Bread.
And
when the hour was come, He (Jesus) sat down, and the twelve apostles with Him. And
He said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this Passover (lamb)
with you before I suffer: For
I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the
Kingdom of God.
(Luke 22
verse 14 thru 16.)
Knowing that His time of fulfillment was at hand,
the Lord Jesus speaks of eating of what is to be His final Passover:
With desire I have desired to eat this Passover with you
before I suffer.
Let us remember again that the literal Passover is the
sacrificed lamb of the old covenant that the Lord Jesus desires to eat with his
disciples. Jesus/Yeshua, the Hebrew Son of Man/Adam, would fulfill precisely the whole heart of the Torah,
exactly as required by the Almighty's instructions given to all of Israel.
Not one jot or tittle will fail from the Torah WORD of GOD, written in
the Hebrew Language. The Commands of the old Covenant must be
fulfilled, and are totally fulfilled in Christ Jesus, the Hebrew Son of Man as
He eats with His disciples the prepared Passover (lamb) at the
Almighty's Commanded Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Now, the former Covenant, sealed in the blood sacrifices of animals is brought to an end
during the Feast; for while the
disciples were eating, Jesus inaugurated at
God's Passover Table, His Father's New Covenant IN His Life giving Blood, as spoken by the prophet
Jeremiah. (See
Jeremiah 31 verse 31 thru 36.)
For of the TRUTH of the Eternal, God's Final Passover Covenant was
sealed IN the Blood of Jesus/Yeshua, the Lamb of God, slain before the
foundation of the world.
The Apostle Paul, in his corrections to the Corinthian's
communion heresies, writes:
For I received of the Lord that which I delivered unto you, that the
Lord Jesus on the 'same night' that He was betrayed, took
(Unleavened) bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke the
(Unleavened)
Bread, and said: Take and eat, This is My Body which is broken for
you: Do This in Remembrance of Me. (See
1st Corinthians 11 verse 23 thru 27.)
We draw your attention to the above Scripture and to Paul's affirmation that the eating of the Feast
took place on the very 'same night' that Christ was betrayed by Judas.
The 'same night' would indicate, without reservations, that eating of the
Passover lambs would have been previously slain, certainly, before they could be
eaten. Christ could not have been slain in the daylight hours of Nisan the
14th at the same time during the slaughter of the sacrificial lambs, and then
participate in the evening Passover feast. The foolish invent another dinner
2 days prior to God's assigned Feast in the eating of the Passover Lamb.
It is impossible for the Word of God, Jesus Christ to finish fully the TRUTH of
His Father Yahweh God, and not break God's Covenant Word. Christ Jesus was
the Celebrant at this Feast of Unleavened Bread, brought the original Covenant
in the blood of animals to a permanent close and instituted the New Covenant
with Yahweh God IN His Life giving Blood.
While Jesus, the Christ of God was living on the earth, as the last genetic Son of Adam, He
was physically present with His disciples, and spoke the Covenant Words and
Salvation Doctrine of His Holy Father Yahweh God: For
indeed the Holy Spirit of His Holy Father God
was leading,
without
measure, His Word of TRUTH that is His only Begotten and Beloved Son,
Jesus Christ.
Caution
Again we remember that there are many individuals who erroneously teach that the Lord Jesus Christ instituted
His supper a day earlier than Nisan the 15th and that he was crucified on Nisan
the 14th at the same time that the passover lambs were being slaughtered.
But remember, Yahweh God had fore ordained the New Covenant in the Blood of His Perfect Son,
and not according to the old covenant in the blood of animals after He delivered Israel out of Egypt. For the True
Bread of Heaven, came in Yahweh God's time, to be born the Son of Man, and to do the
Will of His Father Yahweh God Almighty.
On the Feast of Unleavened Bread,
Nisan the 15th, Jesus the Christ of Yahweh God ratified the TRUTH of Yahweh God's New Covenant in His
LIFE Blood poured out for the damnable sin of Adam and the sin's of man kind. Then, three days
later on the first day of the week, the Spirit of His Father God confirmed
the TRUTH of His WORD with the resurrection of His Son from the dead. (See
Luke 22 verse 7, and verses 14 thru 15.)
It is impossible for the Feast of Unleavened Bread to be in the evening of an earlier day such as Nisan the 14th for that would circumvent
Yahweh God's everlasting Feast of Unleavened
Bread that always occurs on the full moon of Nisan the 15th. The Lord
Jesus Christ would not have created a different dinner that would be less than
the fulfillment of the
Torah's
appointed
Feast with Unleavened Bread. This Feast day occurs
after the sacrifices of the lambs (passovers), and occurs when the sun went down initiating the
day of Nisan the 15th.
If Jesus, the Unleavened Bread of Heaven, would go
against the heart of the Torah,
then the perfection of our sinless/unleavened Lord is voided, for
He would not be Yahweh God's sinless
propitiation for sinful mankind. TRUTH
would have been broken; for
Christ Jesus, the TRUTH of Yahweh God, would have perpetrated a lie in allowing for
both He and His Jewish disciple to break the instructive Word of the Torah. Jesus
Christ must fulfill the whole of Yahweh God's Word, for:
Not one jot or tittle shall pass from the
Torah until all is fulfilled, says the Messiah of Yahweh God, Who is His Father's
True Bread of Heaven.
So now, at the beginning of Nisan the 15th, and
after the Paschal meal, the Lord Jesus Christ instituted His Holy Supper, as the
Word of His Holy Father God. This
Covenant Promise was prior
to the Lord's actual crucifixion and death.
We read in Scripture that the Lord, Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross for
the souls of rebellious man kind, and at the moment of His death, the Innocent
Man cried out with His last breath: It is Finished! God Almighty's
purpose in the flow of His creation of time had been totally fulfilled by the
Man Christ Jesus. And so the
WORD of GOD, crucified before the foundation of the world, had fully brought to
fruition His righteous work of Salvation for the lost souls of man kind.
Jesus/Yeshua did fail not one jot or title of what was written in the Torah
about the Almighty's Holy One. The Son of Man was obedient until death.
Jesus Christ was the genetic Son of Adam, and also the
Incarnate Word of His Father Yahweh God Almighty. Even as the WORD of
Yahweh God is Infinitely Pure,
so was the Messiah's Presentation Offering to Yahweh God as the Son of Man/Adam. The
Last Adam's perfect Love and Obedience to the Almighty was accepted by the His
Father Yahweh God of the Living. The Almighty Yahweh God demonstrated His Satisfaction with
the Sacrificial Love of the Son of Adam/Man, by Bodily resurrecting Jesus/Yeshua
Messiah from the dead.
The Infinite Yahweh God Almighty does not change in His Holiness,
and in His Feast of unleavened Bread, Yahweh God demands that no hint of leaven,
indicative of sin,
would be present in our Offering of Christ's Blood Sacrifice. (Again See
Exodus 34 verse 25.) Such is the purity
of the Holy Communion Table of our Lord Jesus Christ; for He is the Unleavened
Bread of Heaven, and the WORD of His Father, Whose Holy Covenant LIFE Blood is offered for the remission
of the sin's of the flesh for all of His followers into Life.
I AM the Bread of Life.
Whosoever eats My Flesh, and drinks My Blood has Eternal Life. As the
Living Father has sent Me, and I Live by the Father; so he that eats [of] Me, even he
shall Live by Me. Amen!
Unless you eat of the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood you have no
Life in you. This is the Bread that came down from Heaven: Not as your
fathers did eat manna and are dead. He that eats of this Bread shall live
forever. (See
John 6 verse 53 thru 58.)
And while His disciples were eating, [of the old covenant Passover lamb] Jesus (the Son of Man) took unleavened
bread and
gave thanks [to His Father], and broke it, and gave the
Unleavened Bread to His disciples, and said: Take and eat; this IS My
Body.
It was impossible for the Christ of Yahweh God to give thanks to His
Holy Father for leavened (yeasted)
bread, for that would break Yahweh God's original Covenant Word. Jesus is the
Father's Unleavened Bread
Who ushers in His Father's New Covenant Passover in His Blood.
Behold the Days come says Adonai, that
I will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel, and the house of Judah;
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day (Nisan
the 15th nearing the day's sunset) that I took them out of the land of Egypt; which My
Covenant they broke, although I was a husband unto them, says Adonai: But this
shall be the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel: After
those days, says Adonai, I will put My Law [of Agapao] in their inward parts [by
My Spirit], and write it in their hearts [by My Spirit], and will be their God,
and they shall be My people. (Jeremiah
31 verse 31 thru 33.)
The old Covenant in the sacrifice of
Passover lambs is totally supplanted by Jesus at His
last Passover Feast of unleavened Bread, for God's New Covenant is forever established in the Flesh and
Blood of the incarnate Son of Man, Yeshua haMashiach, the only Begotten Son of
His Eternal Father God Almighty. Consider the God of Infinity for all is accomplished by the Word of God
even before Christ's physical death, burial and resurrection
from the dead. For Jesus/Yeshua was the Lamb (Passover) slain before the
foundation of the world.
Jesus/Yeshua haMashiach, Who knew not the leavening of any sin, was Yahweh God's
Passover Sacrifice, with the Perfection of Love and the Trust of a Son; so that like a trusting lamb, Jesus would be led away and crucified to death,
for the unloving sins of the world.
For He is
brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before his shearers is dumb,
so He opened not His mouth. He was taken from prison and from
judgment: and who shall declare His generation? For He was cut off, out of the
land of the living, for the transgression of My people was He stricken.
And He made His grave with the wicked, and with the rich in His death, because
He had done no violence, neither was any deceit in His mouth. (See
Isaiah 53 verse 4 thru 12.)
And
from the abundance of His Heart, Jesus cries from
the cross of His horrendous suffering:
"Father forgive
them, for they know not what they do!"
The Covenant Word of God, Jesus the Son
of Man, Who is One with the Spirit of His Holy Father Yahweh God, said to His disciples;
Take
and drink all of you; for this is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed
for many for the remission of sin.
In our sinful flesh, we are the
many who break covenant with Yahweh God, but Yahweh God's Covenant Grace of forgiveness and
cleansing of sin is extended to all members of His Covenant through the New
Covenant Blood that is administered through the Spirit of Yahweh God's Holy WORD.
(See
John 3 verse 16 thru 17.) Jesus
closes the old covenant, with its sacrifice of the paschal lamb and the eating
of its flesh, and institutes His
Father's New Covenant of Salvation and Sanctification, with His disciples partaking of His Father's
Supreme Gift of the
Unleavened Bread of Heaven, and the drinking of Christ Jesus' Holy Life sustaining Blood for
the remission of sins. The Word's that I speak unto you they are [of the]
Spirit [of Grace] and they are [of] Life. But there are some of you that
believe not. (John
6 verse 63 thru 64.) Will you also go away. O
Man,
where are you? How is it that you are naked? Have you eaten of that forbidden tree of
the confusion of good and evil?
At this point of the TRUTH, and as we continue, it will be come clear that those that suggest that the Christ of
Yahweh God would break with this Feast of Yahweh God, are unwise in the vanity of their own
minds. The mindset of all of humanity, Jew or Gentile, is ingrained with
idolatrous self, and is subject to our own vain opinions engendered within
corrupted flesh, and that flesh is in opposition to the only Holy Lord Yahweh
God of
Infinity. (See
Romans 8 verse 20 thru 23.)
For
we are all right in our own eyes, but Yahweh God is the Judge
of the heart. Neither
is there any creature that is not manifest in His Sight: but all things are
naked and opened unto the Eyes of Him with Whom we have to do. If we say that we have no sin, then we deceive ourselves and the TRUTH
is not in us. Yahweh God is not willing that any should perish, but that
all would come to
repentance: For as many that are led by the Spirit of
TRUTH, they are the sons of God. (See
Proverbs 21 verse 2, Hebrews+4:13,1 John 1 verse 8,and
Romans 8 verse 14 thru 17.)
If the WORD/Yeshua had failed in one
jot or tittle of the Torah, then the heavens and the earth would have passed
away, and the Foundational WORD of GOD is not the TRUTH, the WAY and the LIFE of
men, and therefore, we do not exist.
(See
Matthew 5 verse 18.)
Confusion in the Preparation's
The word "preparation", as found in the written Gospel
accounts, is part of the confusion, and needs to be
examined in the context, in which the Word is communicating the
completion of the full essence of the Gospel Scriptures as they are
linked to the
Torah Instructions. Now
during those 7 days of the Celebration of Unleavened
Bread, there were
two High Sabbaths, as is called
for in two
of Yahweh God's specified Feast. The exceptions would be Shavuot
(Pentecost) where there was the one High Sabbath, and also the one Sabbath day
at the end of the week, which would would be Yahweh God's traditional seventh day of Sabbath rest.
We note that in the time of Jesus Christ's crucifixion, that the first High Sabbath day would be the
first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread on Nisan the 15th,
which in true reality fell on a Thursday evening. Then of course there
came the regular Sabbath day of rest that falls on the 7th day of
the week (Saturday), and was followed by the ending of another High Sabbath
on the evening of the 1st day of the week (Sunday evening). In this time scheme, the
Synoptic Gospels will reveal the timing of the Crucifixion of Jesus and then the
three days that the Lord was
in the heart of the earth. We will see through Scripture that
Yahweh God's
Passover affair, with the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus, the
Unleavened Bread of Heaven, logically happened in the order of the three
Synoptic Gospels.
John's Gospel, is misinterpreted by many, including
the Messianics, but the confusion is in no way a contradiction to the
other Gospel accounts. When properly understood all the Gospels reveal that the day of Christ's crucifixion
is on the High Holy Sabbath day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Nisan
the 15th, and not when the lambs were slaughtered on Nisan the 14th.
Jesus the Messiah, as the Son of Adam/Man, is Yahweh God's Passover (Lamb), Who brings in
Yahweh God's New Covenant in the Son of Man's LIFE giving Blood on the first
High Sabbath day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. The offering of
Christ Jesus/Yeshua, is that of the sinless Generational Son of the
first Adam, and far and away surpasses, the old covenant in the
slaughter of the many passover lambs.
Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; Shout, O daughter of Jerusalem:
Behold, thy King cometh unto thee: He is just, and having
Salvation; lowly, and riding upon an ass, and upon a colt the foal of an
ass. (See
Zechariah 9 verse 9 thru 11.)
The King and
Lord of the Sabbath, came riding into
Jerusalem, apparently positioned upon both the female donkey and its foal,
a colt and
that on
the Sabbath Day of Abib/Nisan the 10th. While Matthew aligns with
Zechariah speaking of the ass and its colt, both the Gospel's of Mark and
Luke mention only the colt. Nevertheless, the Lord of the Sabbath rest,
came in the Peace of His Father, as signified by His riding on the lowest
of the beast of burden. (See
Matthew 21 verse 1-11.) Consider Luke 6
verse 1 And it came to pass on the Second Sabbath after the First
(Sabbath)
Jesus Christ, The Crucified Unleavened Bread of Heaven
is Yahweh God's Passover
Lamb.
1. Behold the days come, says the Lord: I will make a New Covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah; not
according to the covenant that I made with their fathers, when I took
them by the hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt, which
covenant they broke. But this shall be the covenant that I will
make with the house of Israel. After those days, says the Lord; I
will put My Law in their inward parts, and write It in their hearts, and
will be their God and they shall be My people. (See
Jeremiah 31 verse 31 thru 33.)
The prelude to the ending of
the old covenant with the slaughter of the passover lambs, and Yahweh
God's New Covenant begins on the 3rd day
(Wednesday), Nisan the 14th. The slaying of the many
lambs was never ordained to be a permanent event by Yahweh God. Nay, it
was the Feast of Unleavened Bread that was an Eternal Command of the
Holy Almighty Yahweh God. Now in the old covenant and after the multitude of lambs had
been slaughtered and prepared to be the Passover (lamb) they were then eaten
as part of the
Feast of Unleavened Bread.
The day of Nisan the 14th would conclude at
or near
sundown, which leads into the beginning of the Lord's Passover observance with
Unleavened Bread that the Jewish Jesus kept with His disciples. As soon as the hour
of the Feast had come, beginning with the setting of the sun, it was now
the Feast of Unleavened Bread, being the evening of Thursday of Nisan the 15th.
This was the first
Sabbath High Holy Day unto the Lord God Yahweh. The
Lord our Passover and the Eternal WORD of His God had previously said:
I
AM the Bread of Life. I AM the Living Bread which came down from
heaven; If any man eat of this Bread, he shall live for ever.
Truly, absolutely, I say unto you; Except you eat the flesh of the Son
of Man, and drink His Blood you have no Life in you. (See again
John 6 verse 43 thru 57.)
And when the
hour of the feast had come, Jesus
sat down with His disciples, and He said to them: "With desire I have
desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer.
The Lord Yeshuah/Jesus, as the
Master and Mediator of His Table, would have conducted this entire Feast
until its consummate ending. The old covenant must be completed, so
that the new covenant can begin. We will see in both
Matthew's and Mark's Scripture writings
that the Word makes an absolute
distinction between the eating of the Passover lamb of the old covenant and
the eating of the Passover of the New Covenant. Before the Feast of
Unleavened Bread, the disciples had asked Jesus:
Where would you like
us to prepare for you to eat the Passover (lamb).
So
we note that while
His disciples were yet eating the Pascal lamb of the old covenant, the
Lord Yeshua takes the afficomen (unleavened matzo) and institutes His
Passover Provisions of Yahweh God's New Covenant:
For while they were
eating (the Passover lamb), Jesus took [unleavened] bread [the
afficomen], and gave
thanks for it (to
His Father God), and broke it, and gave it to the disciples, and said:
"Take and eat; This is My Body". And He took the (portion
of wine for the third) cup, and gave
thanks (to His Father God), and gave it to them, saying: "All of you
drink of it; for this is My Blood of the New Covenant, which is shed for
many for the remission of sins".
It is Yahweh God's Holy Spirit of Grace
that gives LIFE to the heavy burdened.
Come unto Me all of you that
labor and are heavy burdened, and I will give you rest. (See
Matthew 11 verse 28 thru 30.)
The old covenant in the blood of
sacrificial animals would past away and behold the
New Covenant in the LIFE giving Blood of Jesus Christ has come. The eating of the slain Passover lambs of the Mosaic covenant was brought to
an end, for Jesus the Christ of Yahweh God,
and the Son of Adam/Man, inaugurated
Yahweh God's New Covenant
at His Communion Table with His disciples by declaring that
the Unleavened Bread was and is His Body, and the wine was and is His
LIFE Blood of the New
Covenant.
2. Later in the evening
during the 1st day of the
Yahweh God's ordained Feast of Unleavened Bread, Jesus Christ and His Disciples removed themselves to the Garden
of Olives. It was here that the Lord Jesus was betrayed by a kiss from Judas
Iscariot and was taken captive by the guards of the temple. From the
Garden of Olives Jesus was taken prisoner to stand before the awaiting
late night convening Sanhedrin. The Sanhedrin priest, not wanting to
dirty their hands during the Feast of Unleavened Bread and the later Presentation
Offering, sent Jesus to
Pilot seeking the governor's judgment to satisfy their false accusations
of Jesus Christ.
3. Pilot not wanting any
involvement in the affairs of the Jews, sent Jesus to Herod, where
Herod mocked the Lord Jesus and then sent Jesus back to Pilot.
In
preparation for the
Chagigah, and not desiring to defile themselves
in uncleanness, the
priests of the temple separated themselves outside
of the judgment seat of Pilot, in order that they would be able to eat
of the Chagigah Peace Offering portion that Yahweh God returned to the
priesthood. (See
Leviticus 7 verse 28 thru 38.)
Alfred Edersheim, the Jewish author, writes: "The Chagigah, which was strictly a peace-offering, might be twofold. This
first Chagigah (Peace Offering) was offered on the 14th of Nisan, the day of the Paschal
Sacrifice, (the slaying of the Paschal lambs) and formed afterwards part of the Paschal Supper. The second
Chagigah was offered on the 15th of Nisan, or the first day of the
feast of unleavened bread. It is this second Chagigah (Peace Offering) which the Jews
were afraid they might be unable to eat, if they contracted defilement
in the judgment-hall of Pilate." (See
John 18:28). The Chagigah for the
15th of Nisan was obligatory, and had therefore to be brought from
Cholin (that which was defiled).
We should spiritually understand that the Lord Yeshua, the genetic Son
of the first Adam, presented His sinless Self as an Offering to Yahweh
God to pay for the first Adam's treasonous sin and the sins of all of
Adam's offspring, Christ's crucifixion death and Offering
took place on the High Holy Sabbath day that occurs on the first day of
the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Christ as the Son of Adam Offered His undefiled self
to redeem the first Adam from his rebellion and the total corruption his
sin brought to all of mankind.
Approaching sunset at the end of the
1st day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, it was required by the Torah
of Yahweh God that all of the Jewish
men were to come before Yahweh God, with a Presentation Gift or Offering
in worship of the Almighty. (See
Deuteronomy 16 verse 16 thru 17.)
This is the preparation of the Jews that John's Gospel is referring to
in
Chapter 19 verse 31 and see verse 42. This
required Chagigah event took place
after the crucifixion death of Christ, and where the Gospel writer Mark gives an account of the
preparation that is to take place in
Mark chapter 15 verse 42.
"And now when the even was come because
it was the
preparation, that is the day before the Sabbath (referring
to the 7th Sabbath day of rest)."
The day that would precede the Sabbath day of rest began
on the evening of what we should know to be the beginning of Friday that
would begin at
or near 6:00 PM.
Christ Jesus died on the High Sabbath day appointed to Yahweh God on the
first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread and was already placed in the grave before the end of the day of His
crucifixion on
Thursday Nisan the 15th.
Again, the Torah ritual of the wave offering came after the Jewish men
presented themselves with
their Chagigah Peace Offering to Yahweh God, The presentation gift was
given in accordance with how YHVH God had blessed them through out the
year. The various priest would prepare for the Torah's requirement
of Chagigah during the day light hours of the first day of the High Sabbath of Abib/Nisan
the 15th. But the Holy One of Yahweh God,
Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of Man, presented Himself to
Yahweh God as a Chagigah
Peace Offering for Man/Adam, for
in His crucifixion death, the sinless Last Adam died for the sins of
the world attributed to the first Adam's insurrection, therefore, Jesus/Yeshua's LIFE
as the Son of Yahweh God, became the Peace Offering that would be acceptable to Holy,
Holy, Holy God Almighty, for the rebellion of Adam.
4. The reluctant Governor Pilot then
acquiesced to the loudest cries of the people and sent Jesus, the Christ
of Yahweh God to be crucified to death. Around 9:00, the 3rd hour of the
morning of Nisan the 15th, Jesus Christ was crucified and then died at
3:00 PM that afternoon at the time of the evening sacrifice. The
Christ of God was buried, before the sun went down on that Thursday of
Nisan the 15th. The crucifixion and the death
of our Lord Jesus/Yeshuah had taken place on Nisan the 15th, and
then Joseph of Aramathea secures from
Pilot the dead body of Jesus, and seals Him in his own tomb sometime
before sun the went down on Nisan the 15th. The Torah required that the body
of one hung on a tree be buried that day of his death, and before
the sun went down for it would have marked the coming of a new day. And if a man have commit a sin worthy of
death, and he be put death, and you hang him on a tree: His body shall
not remain all night upon the tree, but you shall absolutely bury him
that day; (for he that is hanged is accursed of God). (See
Deuteronomy 21 verse 22 thru 23.)
Just before
sun down on the 15th of Nisan the required Chagigah Peace Offering
of the people would have been presented to Yahweh, then the high priest
presented to God the required wave offering. Afterwards the the wave
offering portions were eaten by the Levitical
priesthood.
Regarding the Burial Law of the individual hung on a tree, it would take
place on the
very day that a person dies on the tree. The same day of their
death, they are to be buried, so that
their body does not remain hanging into the evening and night of the
coming day. And so it is with Jesus Christ: On the first day
of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Nisan the 15th, the Lord was crucified
to death on the tree, and was buried in the bowls of the earth, at
the latter daylight hours of Nisan the 15th (the 4th day of the week
that we know as Thursday). The burial of the Messiah came during the day
light hours near the evening of
His Chagigah Offering on Nisan the 15th. And so according to
Jewish time of a day, the 1st day of the Lord's burial was on Nisan the
15th that we know in the Julian calendar as a Thursday.
Note:
The Lord Jesus Christ was in the grave 3 days and 3 nights within
the Jewish calendar, and not 2 and a half days.
For as Jonah was three days and three nights in
the whale's belly;
so shall the Son of Man be three days and three nights in
the heart of the earth. (See
Matthew 12 verse 39 thru 40.)
5. The evening of the 16th
until the following day light hours consisted of 24 hours that were
still those of the 16th that constituted in the Jewish calendar the
second night
and day of the Lord's entombment, a Friday in the Julian calendar.
6. So then, later on during the day light hours of Nisan the 16th,
the same being the 5th day of the week (Friday) was now the day of
preparation for the next Sabbath day of rest.
A.
Matthew 27 verse 62 thru 63:
Now the next day, that followed [the crucifixion of Christ:
and that next day being] the day of the preparation before the
Sabbath [day of rest; the seventh day of the week], the
chief priests and Pharisees came together unto Pilate, saying: Sir,
we remember that that deceiver said, while He was yet alive, After
three days I will rise again.
B. See
Mark 15 verse 42 C.
Luke 23 verse 54 thru 56:
And
that day was the preparation, and the Sabbath drew on. [The
Sabbath that drew on, was the Day of Rest, when no servile work was
allowed]. As was the Jewish custom, the food for the Sabbath
day of rest would have been prepared on
the Friday and was to be eaten on the next day of the Sabbath of
rest. And the women
also, which came with him from Galilee, followed after, and beheld
the sepulcher, and how His body was laid. And they returned,
and prepared spices and ointments; and so [with their
previous preparation] they were able to rest on the Sabbath
day according to the Commandment.
On Saturday, the Sabbath day of rest, no work was allowed, and the
women, who knew where the Lord was laid, also rested on the Sabbath,
according to the Torah's instructions given by Yahweh God. The
entombment of the Lord's Body is completed in the evening and
morning, within the fullness of that Saturday Sabbath, from dusk to dusk.
7. The first day of the week, now known as Sunday, began on
the evening tide that
followed the ending at dusk of the
7th day of the week (Saturday) the Sabbath day of rest.
Now the prophetic day of resurrection is come, and the third night of entombment
is finished as the
Lord of our Salvation, and the
Light of the world, has risen in the early part of that
1st day (Sunday)
morning darkness just before the day's breaking of the dawn.
And the Lord said He would be in the grave 3 days and 3 nights.
And God said: Let
there be light, and there was Light. And the evening and the morning
was the first day. (See
Genesis 1 verse 3 thru 5.)
And Zechariah, the father of John the Baptist, prophesized of his
son being the preparer of the Way:
To give knowledge of Salvation
unto His people by the remission of their sins, Through the tender
mercy of our God; whereby the Dayspring from on High has visited
us, To give Light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow
of death, to guide our feet into the Way of Peace. (See
Luke 1 verse 67 thru 80.)
The
seven days of the week of God's creation are obviously book ended by
the 1st day of the week (Sunday), through the Sabbath and 7th
day of the week (Saturday). All seven creation days of the week are days of the
Infinite Creator, and are not based on a 24 hour day. A day of
the Lord is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day.
All of creation belongs to the Yahweh God Who abides in Interity. Think on that!
8. When the Lord Yeshua/Jesus was resurrected on the third day
of the morning of the 1st day (Sunday), the
first day of the week of creation,
He first appeared to Mary Magdalene and said to her: Touch
Me not, for I AM not yet ascended to My Father. The Lord
Yeshua/Jesus, having conquered the darkness of our sin and death
with the purity of His Agapao/Love and obedience to His Father,
could not be defiled with the touch of sinful flesh, for He IS the
Representation of Man kind, being Himself the sacrificial Presentation Gift (Chagigah) to The Almighty God.
I AM the Light of the
world; he that follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but
shall have the Light of Life.
9. Being the third day of Jesus' resurrection from the dead, and after
our Lord's acceptable Presentation Offering of Himself, to His
God and Father, it was
still within the seven day Feast of unleavened Bread, with 4 more days remaining until
the
conclusion of the Feast. That first day of His resurrection, the Lord Yeshua then appeared
unto the two Jewish men on the road to Emmaus, and when they had stopped at
their abode, and because it was late in the day, they invited Jesus in.
And
it came to pass as He sat at dinner with them, He took [the unleavened]
bread, and blessed it, and broke it, and gave it to them. And their
eyes were opened, and they knew Him, and He vanished out of their sight. And they rose up that same hour, and
returned to Jerusalem, and they told the disciples what things were done in the
way, [to Emmaus] and how He [Yeshua] was known to them in the breaking of the [unleavened]
Bread. (See
Luke 24 verse 13 thru 35.)
10. Even as Christ is our Peace Offering to Yahweh God, and the souls of the confessing redeemed are
IN Him, then
while we yet exist in these bodies of flesh,
we should present ourselves as
[a Chagigah] living sacrifice, [even daily] pleasing and acceptable to
Yahweh God, which is our
worshipful service. (Romans
12 verse 1.)
The Apostle Peter says essentially the same
thing in his writings:
You also, as lively
stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy
priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to
Yahweh
God by Jesus Christ.” (1st
Peter 2 verse 5.)
In the third hour of the
morning of the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, Nisan the 15th, the LIFE Blood of
Jesus/Yeshua, the incarnate Son of Man, was being sacrificed as an atonement for the sin's of
Man and that of the world. The First day of the Feast
of Unleavened Bread, as well as the Last day of the seven days of the Feast, are
both High Holy Days, and are distinguished as the High Sabbaths of the Lord. Jesus, the Word and
incarnate Son of
God, is the True Bread
that came down from heaven, and by God's Holy Spirit, became a Man of Adam's blood, from the seed of a
virgin woman, and as Man, He was sacrificed as the only True Lamb of God, on the first
High Sabbath day of
the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Yahweh's Sacrifice of His Son was in the
morning of
Nisan the 15th at the 3rd hour of day light. The 3rd hour is approximately 9:00 AM our time, when the
daily morning
sacrifice of an unblemished lamb would be offered. (See
Mark 15 verse 25 thru 34.) At the 6th
hour or 12:00 noon, the day was darkened upon the land, until the 9th hour, when
the Lord cried out in the darkness of the hour, and gave up His Spirit in His
bodily death. The
brutalized form of our Lord Jesus languished on
the cross for 6 hours, between the 3rd hour/9:00 AM, until the 9th hour/3:00
PM.
The
writings of Josephus in Antiquities 14, 4, 3,
would confirm in our minds that Jesus Christ,
the Man,
would have died
sacrificially, at the time that the
evening sacrificial lamb was offered at the 9th hour or 3:00 pm
our standard of time. (See Mark
15 verse 33 thru 38.)
John's Gospel
Is there a conflict in John's Gospel, or is
there harmony with understanding ?
And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release Him: but the Jews cried
out saying; If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend:
Whosoever makes himself a king, speaks against Caesar.
When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat
down in the judgment seat in a place that is called the Pavement, but in
the Hebrew, Gabbatha. And it was the preparation of the
Passover,
and about the sixth hour: and he [Pilot] says unto the Jews:
Behold your King! (John
19:13-14.)
Note the confusion in time in the Gospels: The Synoptic Gospels have Jesus
crucified on the cross on that High Holy Sabbath day, at the
Hebrew 3rd hour of the day, approximately 9:00 AM universal time.
However John's Gospel has Jesus being examined by Pilot at the 6th hour,
which if it were in Jewish time would be about 12:00 noon as transliterated in the Gospel of John.
The only possible explanation is that the Gospel of John written in the
Greek, was translated
in English creating time anomaly by using the Julian or Gregorian time of the day,
but intending it to be 6:00 AM of the morning of the Lord's High Sabbath
day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread.
Outside of the transliterate time anomaly,
we sill see that John's Gospel concurs with
the synoptic Gospels:
The Jews, therefore, because it was the preparation, that the bodies
should not remain upon the cross on the Sabbath day, (for that
Sabbath day was a High Day,) besought Pilate that their legs
might be broken, and that they might be taken away. (See
John 19 verse 31 thru 37.)
Note
that that Sabbath Day was the High Sabbath Day of the Lord's Feast of
Unleavened Bread, and is when the Lord Jesus Christ was crucified and
died and was buried. Jesus was the kernel of grain that was Yahweh
God's Covenant Seed
of woman, Who was planted in death, to bring forth the abundance of
God's Harvest of souls. (See
John 12 verse 23 thru 24.) (See
again Edersheim's
Chagigah for a clarification of John's
reference to the preparation that was necessitated on the High
Sabbath day of this Feast of Unleavened Bread that took place on 15th of Nisan).
The
preparation of the Passover is for the Jewish Chagigah/Hagigah at the ending of
God's High Holy Sabbath that began in the evening of Nisan the 15th. This preparation for the presentation
offering was Yahweh God's mandatory requirement for all the males of Israel
to appear
before the Lord Yahweh God with their prepared thanks offering, for indeed, the presentation
offering was mandatory:
Three
times in a year shall all thy males appear before the
Lord thy God in
the place which He shall choose; within the Feast of Unleavened Bread, and within the
Feast of Weeks, and within the Feast of Tabernacles: and they shall 'not appear'
before the Lord
empty. Every
man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the
Lord thy God
which He has given thee. (Deuteronomy
16 verse 16.)
At each of the Feast of the Lord, a grown
son of Israel was required to appear before the Lord Yahweh God during the Feast,
preferably the first High Sabbath day, and to bring, as he was able, a
peace offering of thanksgiving, the Chagigah/Hagigah, that was to be sacrificed to
Yahweh God. It is quite
apparent in John 18 verse 28 that for the priest to participate in the
Chagigah that they must be ritually clean, and therefore would not enter
into the Roman judgment hall.
Then led they Jesus from Caiaphas
unto the hall of judgment: and it was early; and they themselves went
not into the judgment hall, lest they should be defiled; but that they
might eat the passover.
Again the Passover is not a day, but in
this case it is the Passover (lamb) that the priest might eat of,
being the required Peace Offering Chagigah portions of the breast wave
offering given to the sons of Aaron, and the right shoulder heave
offering given to the priest. (See
Leviticus 7 verse 28 thru 34.) Later in the
Day of that High Sabbath, and with the crucifixion death of Jesus Christ, the priest
were looking to ritually prepare themselves for their presentation
offering of the mandatory Chagigah, and would need to wash themselves
thru emersion in water, as part of their preparation.
On this Nisan the 15th, there would be only the One Chosen and Perfect Lamb of
Yahweh God, slain from
before the foundation of
the world that would be acceptable to Yahweh God for the full reparation for the sin of
Adam and
mankind. Yahweh God's Passover, Jesus/Yeshua the Lamb of God, would
present Himself (Chagigah) to His Holy Father Yahweh God, and the Almighty God accepted the
Man Jesus/Yeshua's pleasing sacrifice,
Chagigah/Hagigah, that would propitiate
humanity's sin's that demands
death. The demands of death are paid for in the Life Blood of the incarnate Son of Man, Jesus the Christ of God,
Who knew not sin, for He Loved His Holy Father Yahweh God even unto death by the cross.
Behold, the days come, says the
Lord, that I
will make a New Covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the Covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I
took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which My Covenant
they brake, even though I was a husband unto them, says the
Lord: But this
shall be the Covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those
days, says the Lord,
I will put My Law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will
be their God, and they shall be My people. (Jeremiah 21 verse 31 thru
33.)
And Jesus/Yeshua says:
I have many things to say unto you, but you can not receive
them now. Howbeit when He, the Spirit of Truth is come, He will guide you
unto all Truth, for He shall not speak of Himself, but whatever He shall hear
that shall He speak, and He will show you things to come. (See
John 16 verse 7 thru 15.)
Yahweh God provided the New Covenant
of Life, not in the blood of animals, but
in the LIFE Blood of the Perfect Lamb that is His only begotten Son, Whom He sacrificed; not only for
the sins of Israel, but for the sins of the whole world, Jew and Gentile alike.
Christ Jesus is the Unleavened Presentation Bread of LIFE that is always before
the Almighty.
No one comes to the Father but by Me. (See
John 14 verse 6.)
Yeshua/Jesus is the TRUTH of His Holy Father Yahweh God, and His WORD of LIFE
bears witness that He is the
Unleavened
Bread that came down from Heaven to become Yahweh God's New Covenant Lamb, Who
would bear the sins of the world. If one thinks that they no longer sin
then either they are a liar or Yahweh God is a liar. Consider deeply
Yahweh God's WORD of Fellowship that does not change:
If we walk in the light as He is the Light, then we have fellowship,
COMMUNION, one with another, for of the Blood of Jesus Christ, Yahweh
God's Son, cleanses us from our sin. If we say we have no sin, we deceive our
selves and the TRUTH is not in us. If we confess our sins, then He is
faithful and just to cleanse us from our unrighteousness. If we say that
we are not sinners, then we make Him a liar and His WORD is not in us.
A message to the wise: If you make Yahweh God to be a liar then the TRUTH of His
WORD is not in you and you are dead in your in your wicked unbelief.
However we do not think that you are so foolish, therefore: If you repent and
acknowledge the TRUTH of the Father's Yahweh God's WORD, then eat of
Yashua's Unleavened Bread, and Drink of His Holy LIFE giving Blood Which is given by the
Yahweh God Holy Spirit of Grace, then that person shall
know the Light of LIFE Eternal. (See
John 6 verse 43 thru 51.) God's
Holy Spirit of Grace would be bearing witness with the spirit of our minds, that we are
born again as
His children of faith, and if such, then we would all be saying and doing the same TRUTH in
LOVE, even as
that of the Almighty's
Unleavened WORD of Salvation, Jesus, the Sacrificed LAMB of Yahweh God. (See
John 17 verse 21 thru 23.) Jesus/Yeshua
is the
heart of the Torah.
